"My name is Sadie Coldshoal. Pleasured, naturally.

Are you really some sort of tiny person inside there, operating this armored suit?"

Reggie answered excitedly.

"NOPES! THE ARMORS IS MY BODYS! IF I'S HAS TO, I CAN PICKS UP A PERSONS AND SHIELDS DEM IN MY BODYS. DAT'S ONLYS IN DA MERGENCIES THOUGH."

Aidan turned to face the golem.

"Aidan Faolán, bard of the Shimmering Isles, at your service, Reggie."

"O HAI DERE MR. POINTY-EARS! REGGIE'S AT THE SERVICE AS WELL! COMES TO ME IFFUN YOUSE GETS ALL HURT-LIKE."

: "Pleased to meet you, my name is Nikolai Amsel. I suppose you have healing talents?"

"YEP! REGGIE IS GOODS AT DA HEALUNS! AND DA FIGHTUNS! LIKES DA HEALUNS BETTAH, THOUGH. THAT WAY REGGIE MAKES FRIENDS WITH DA PEOPLES DATS LOTS SQUISHIER THAN REGGIE."

: "I tend to wounded and calm the hysterical. Powers are dulled, but I will continue trying. Not much for combat." She nodded to R.E.G.I.S. "Though, seems I am not the only one who helps the hurting."

REGIS nodded.

"IFFUN YOUSE MAKES DA HEALUNS TOO, YOUSE AND I'S GONNA MAKES DA GREAT TEAMS!" He slumped a little, though. "BUTS NOWS THAT YOUSE MENTIONS IT, REGGIE'S HEALUNS ISN'T UP TO WHAT REGGIE KNOWS HES CAN DO. DAT'S OK THOUGH. REGGIE CAN STILL PROTECT WITHUN DA PUNCHIN OF DA BAD GUYS."

Reggie watched intently as his comrades used the cube to acquire provisions, then stayed back at camp as the group of five set out to explore the south. He looked at the remaining group members, then after a moment of thought, he gently nudged Nikolai.

"OI, IFFUN DOSE GUYS WANTS TA EXPLORE DAT WAY, YOUSE GUYS WANNA LOOKS TO DA NORTHWAYS? REGGIE KEEPUNS YA SAFE!"

Already searching for nearby rocks, Nikolai turned his head to face the tall golem as he heard its voice. Upon hearing the idea, he stopped his search for a moment and thought about it. There were only three people left near the cube, and leaving it alone probably wasn't a good idea. Leaving only one person to watch it also didn't seem like it could work.
: "If you want to explore, we should go all together, but then the cube would be left unattended. If only the two of us leave, she will be left alone." He motioned towards the bulky woman. "I think we could do it, but you could ask Uniq first just in case, to check if it may be in any danger of being attacked while we are away."

"Hey steve." You speak into the air.
>Yes?
"Could you guys also make a hamburger out of this arm when they cut it off? I wanted to eat it just for the sake of tasting it."
>That is horrible and disgusting. It will no doubt set you apart and create fear in your team mates. So of course.

He rose his voice slightly to ask his companions:
: "What are your talents? I am pretty much an average human except for the fact I can learn faster than most people and I lean a little more towards brain than brawn. I am able to defend myself properly in most cases, though."

"Well, I'm a trained Field Biologist, but I dabble in many other fields-History, Geology, Medicine, Animal Husbandry, Alchemy, Land-Walker Psychology...I can also send simple phrases to aquatic animals via short range psychic transmissions. But that last ones only possible in my other form, which allows me to breath and travel underwater naturally.

I've trained in the basic Human Martial Arts for self defense on land. It mostly involves hitting people very hard, in specific spots. From what I understand, lower is better."

---------------------------------------------
He moved over to Sadie's side, and whispered in her ear. "If our cube-like friend could answer me, I would ask if time and events between worlds would affect each other, but nonetheless I thank you for telling me this.

"I'll...make sure the right thing happens.

"You're one energetic person, you know that?"

"Hmm, Many Landwalkers comment on my boundless energy. Most of them seem to think I'm under the influence of some sort of overly-caffeinated beverage. It is a truly amusing conjecture."

...

"...LOOK THERE, SOMETHING SHINY!' She interrupts, hopping away.

Action: Look for interesting mineral or plant samples in the area.

"Well, you pretty much are-..."

"...a cheerful woman." Aidan finished with a grin. He addressed the rest: "It seems we are safe for the moment, I hear nothing but the sweet sound of the breeze, I'll try to follow that."

He pointed up.

"Truly, this reminds me of home."

Follow one of the links of the spiral in the sky until quite some distance, then inspect the nearby flora//fauna in my area.

REGIS nodded and turned back towards the cube.

"THAT'S THE GOOD THINKUN AND IDEAS. REGGIE KEN ASK DA MACHINE CUBE PERSONS WHAT QUESTIONS WHAT REGGIE NEEDSUN TO KNOWS."

Walking up to the large cube and placing his hand on the side, REGIS began emitting a series of noises much like before.

"Has anyone ever wondered if that cube-thing existed before we made it here, in Acos?" Aidan called out from his position. "It said it was missing something - part of it's memory, aye? I wonder how that looks like, and how we'd find it.

"Everything looks...too natural, but it must be due to the terrain. I haven't seen anything resembling civilization...

Queen shuffled over alongside Aidan as he talked, choosing to let someone else answer his questions of wilderness vs. civilization. It was a subject she'd had enough of in her first lifetime.

: "It really is quite beautiful to look up at, isn't it? The night sky where I came from had nothing like this."

Queen followed Aidan and inspected the flora/fauna with him, but picked two of the fruits off the mystery trees mentioned earlier.

"I wonder how yours, or the others skies look like. Are they as dark as this? Where I come from, it is just the same, yet the sky is like a gigantic web of iridescent light. It could be easily called 'ley-lines', veins of, well, magic. Energy that empowers the very heart of the world, the power to change by will alone.

"But enough of that. You call yourself Queen, right? What happened in your kingdom that sent you here?"

: "My kingdom? Taken from under me. Funny-haired demigod 'killed' my husband - so to speak - and locked me up." She sighed. "Not worth dwelling on. Would prefer staying here, possibly. Nothing worth going back to, after all."

Trying to switch subjects again, Queen nodded upwards.

: "Our night sky... dark with a single white star. Always present. Legend was the gods lived there, warring eternally. Not so different from my old kingdom." After her monologue, she turned back to Aidan. "Enough of me. Tell me of your world. 'Ley lines'... a world run by magic, then?"

As the others mentioned the night sky, Bowser glanced up as well. "Huh. That's interesting. Wonder if it has anything to do with us being here," Bowser murmured, to no one in particular. He just shrugged, and set it aside. They had the basics to tend to first, food, water, shelter, before they could get into a big discussion about the pretty night lights. Something the rest of the group seemed to be ignoring at the moment. The pointy eared one was following one of the chains in the sky, while the fishy girl was scampering off to investigate something or other. Meanwhile, there was fresh fruit waiting to be plucked off of the nearby trees, mostly being ignored. The queen did grab a couple though. He preferred meat himself, or cake. Cake was good too, but not much chance of finding that here. But he could live off of fruit for a while if needed.

"I've got to get me some proper minions," Bowser grumbled. How was this whole situation going to work out if people weren't going to obey him? It's not really that they were insubordinate or rebellious, just woefully untrained. Ah well, as he often noticed before, if you wanted something done right, you gotta do it yourself. "Hey, focus people. Food and water first," He said, as he went to the trees and began gathering up as many fruit as he could carry. He figured if he kept the different groups in sight, he could get there quick enough if trouble started.

Turn 4, Day 1, ???

REGIS was communicating with Uniq through the databased language again, to which the Cube slowly replied, a single beep at a time:

[On-e H-und-red- pe-rce-nt.]

Around the clearing, Nikolai was scouting for rocks. He finally found one!

A simple red stone! Nothing out of the ordinary about this one! It has a smooth surface, like a stone that had been broken over several times, then roughed up by mother nature for a while. It didn't seem to have any hard edges.

Sadie was checking the general vicinity for interesting items on the ground, and located an odd root!

It didn't seem to belong to anything close, so it might just be a plant on its own.

Bowser and Queen where scouting for the odd fruit on the trees.

An odd red fruit with a spiral formation on it. They both proceeded to gather up as many as they could carry.

Both of them grew annoyed that they didn't seem to be able to carry that many of them at all. After a while, the fruit seemed impossible to grab without dropping one of the others! How perculiar. They filled their inventories with fruit.

As the others were distracted, Aidan forced ahead towards the end of the energy chain that seemed to course through the skyline. He forgot to watch where he was going though, as two odd creatures suddenly stood before him.

Conquest!

Two terrible foes stand before Aidan! They seem vicious, but cautious.

What will Aidan do?

Uh-oh. Queen spotted Aidan being aggressed by unknown assailants just a short walk away. She wasn't much for fighting, but two-on-one wasn't fair!

: "Don't worry, we'll come for ya'!"

Queen rushed to combat behind Aidan.

It was one thing after another! Six fruit! A measly six fruit. He was stronger than that, why were these fruits so blasted heavy? No, heavy wasn't the right word. But he was compelled to drop one the moment he reached for a seventh. Ah well, he could just make multiple trips, and stash the fruit somewhere safe. Of course, they didn't have somewhere safe yet. Just empty wilderness. But there were plenty of trees, maybe he could begin ripping some up, cutting off the branches, and start on making a fort or something. With a throne room too. But no, basics first. They found food, but no water yet. Maybe the fishy girl could-

His thoughts were interrupted as he heard Queen shouting out something. Looking up, he saw the pointy eared one had managed to pick a fight with a couple of odd creatures. That was good. Either meat, or maybe he could train them into pets or minions. But first, they needed to be shown who was boss. "And this is why you bring a fighter with. Move over, squishy, let me show ya how it's done." Bowser said, lumbering into the fray, trying to put himself between the two animals and Aidan.

: "~♪" Nikolai searched while humming "Gimme All Your Lovin", managing to find one stone.

He examined it, and it seemed pretty basic. Maybe he could train his throwing capabilities...He unfortunately didn't remember having much skill at that. After all, he had trained martial arts, never knowing throwing something could wind up being useful someday for combat. But few people actually expected that, aside from ninjas. In these moments, being a ninja would come in handy.

Nikolai starts to throw the rock at an imaginary point in space positioned on a tree and get it back to pass the time and sharpen his abilities.

((@GM: Can Nikolai see the other things represented by the peon at the left side of the screen, closest to the cube?))
If yes:
Examine the peon-thing nearest to the cube as well (from afar).

Sadie tried to pick up the odd root, before spotting the Sylvan Elf suddenly faced with some seemingly marsupilian terror. She stowed it in her pack and began vocalizing her thoughts. Which might be considered odd.

"Oh dear, it seems Aidan is in trouble! Already! It would be very irresponsible of me to allow the last living specimen of Sylvus Dryadalum to perish at the claws of these strange beasts-the world would lose an untold number of important scientific discoveries. So, it is with a heavy heart I feel inclined to intercede, and aid him. Please, forgive me noble beasts."

She coughed, looking around.

"Also, get away from my new cute friend you evil monsters! I know Land-Walker-Fu!"

Action: After picking up the root, Charge into Aidan's battle pinwheeling my arms. Use my Biology Skill+Brilliance to try and identify things about the strange animals, like possible weaknesses.
