((A recommendation for the players: if you're responding to some people in specific, it's probably a good idea to quote the relevant sections of their posts in your own. Straight RPs can be pretty word-dense, and this helps keep things organized.)

: "I don't think you'd know where it is, but as for we being dead or not, I don't know. I just woke up, like you."

It was surreal, but it felt...real.

Aidan shrugged at his answer, "We share a common thing."

"Sleep."

He gestured to the rest who have just woken up. "I'll try to look around for a bit. This place is intriguing."

Scout out the current vicinity. Watch the reaction of the cube to the people's touch.

The world was dark and quiet. This hadn't changed. It was always dark and quiet. At least it had always been this way after Reggie first was brought to life. Only for a moment he took in the sights of the place of his birth. It was so exciting! A mostly white room, surrounded by creatures of all shapes and sizes wearing sterile uniforms and safety goggles. There was so much to take in! An entire world of wonder! Then, blackness. Reggie was shut down and sealed into a storage container, much like the many others that looked like him. It wasn't scary, though. It was just lonely. Reggie only had himself in that crate, but that was ok. He couldn't remember how long he was in there, mostly because he was asleep. Reggie had done nothing BUT sleep for almost his entire existence, but he knew that the day would come when he would see the light again, and then he would help all those wonderful people in the world. He knew those people would probably be hurt, too, but that was ok! Reggie can fix people! That's what Reggie was built for!

What's this? Reggie hears some voices, but they're unintelligible to him. Maybe he needs to wake up now? Yes! Finally! This is what Reggie had been eagerly awaiting! People! People to heal! People to protect!

A gentle whirring emanates from the core of the metal figure as it gains consciousness for the first time since it was first put to sleep. The life magick that the golem was infused with coursed through its body and brought the metal hulk to life. He looked forward at the figures before him and saw a large angry lizard speaking to someone who Reggie sensed that possessed the power of healing magick. The giant lizard must be hurt! This is what R.E.G.I.S. lived for! He would be helpful!

The golem sprung forward surprisingly quickly, gathering the healing life magick in his fist.

"YOU NEEDUNS DA HEALUNS?!"

His magick filled punch connected right with the side of Bowser's face, healing any injuries that the golem assumed him to have.

Quote
"Afraid I'm just as lost as you are, dear. Neither roar nor flame will solve your problem here." Queen blinked under her hood. "Hum... sound familiar, dear. Probably nothing."

This woman wasn't like most human women he'd encountered. Granted, most of his experience came from Princess Peach, who went into 'Someone Save Me' mode whenever he showed up. This one was quite calm, even when encountering a giant and clearly irate Koopa. He found the contrast rather refreshing, despite her failure to address him by his proper title. He just gave a toothy wry grin.

"Fire and Roaring has served me well so far. But, this time, I think I will take your suggestion." Bowser said. "But let's see just what we have to work with." Looking about the group, he saw many of them talking with others, investigating that strange cube thing, and one beginning to scout the perimeter. Best get this group whipped into shape, and soon, before everyone went their own way. He gave a loud roar to get everyone's attention.

"Alright people, listen up! Don't go wandering just yet. We all got dumped here. If anyone has a clue why or how, speak up. Otherwise, we need to keep together and form a proper troop. Face this world together. I'll need names, ranks, and professions from everyone. What you can do to keep us alive, what abilities or skills you got. Oh, and if you want to go scouting, take someone with you, preferably someone who knows how to fight. Or at least someone strong enough to haul you back if you get stomped." Bowser commanded. Commanding came natural to him, and he fancied himself quite good at it.

"Anyway, the name's Bowser, King- WARGH!" Bowser bellowed as the strange metal man suddenly sprung forward and landed a heavy blow on the side of his face. Bowser staggered back a few steps, putting a hand to the side of his face. Someone dared to strike the king!? Unthinkable! His eyes fixed on the golem with a fiery glare, thoughts of command momentarily banished from his mind. "You insolent scrap heap!"  Bowser shouted, as he charged for the golem.

Spoiler: Before... (click to show/hide)

She wakes up. Something lets her go...and she finds herself gasping in open air, flipping about with her tail helplessly, the suns horrible glare burning her eyes. Whatever had happened had taken her from the wet ocean to the dry land in the space of heartbeat, without allowing her a chance to acclimate-she panicked, like a person dunked under water who didn't have chance to catch a breath.

Sadie vaguely made out shapes around her-very odd shapes-but was in too much fear to do anything about them now. She concentrated on changing to her land-based form, hoping this was all a bad dream. A very...bad...dream...

The changes were coming, but she had to get away-Sadie left the pedestal she was on and began crawling away. Most of them were probably land-dwellers...and while she sometimes struggled to understand them and help her people understand them, Sadie knew they were often dangerous.

Was one of them approaching her, or was that just a trick of perspective? Eeeek!

---
OOC: The transformation thing is just RP right now-she can breath and walk, and usually transforms by now, and will do so soon. She's honestly just panicked over the quick change in atmosphere.

Commanding came natural to him, and he fancied himself quite good at it.

Though Bowser charged for the large, metallic creature just as Queen was about to reply, she decided to ignore the impending scuffle and address the rest of the group out loud, hopefully encouraging them to reply in kind.

: "My name is irrelevant, but feel free to address me 'Queen' because that's what I was not long ago." She took another look around. Everyone was already dispersing from their initial positions. "I heal by trade, so I ask you take me along if you desire scouting unknown land."

((OOC: Oops hit post too soon.))

Was one of them approaching her, or was that just a trick of perspective? Eeeek!

Queen noticed the last to get up. A bluish-whitish girl. She looked strange, not from Queen's world. Even so, her expression was immediately recognizable: terror, uncertainty, fear of death. The black-robed woman approached Sadie.

: "You, dear. Are you well? No. Wrong question." Queen offered her hand. "Are you injured?"

As Sadies vision begin to shift, the black figure in front of her seemed to expand and dominate her vision, despite her small size.

She thought it was the Goddess of Death-Typhias.

With her ebon robes, and cruel smile, skin as pale as corpseflesh-come to gather and bear her upwards into the light...or drag her into the darkest depths. She was reaching her hand to Sadie...to take her away...no. No, it's not my time, she thinks.

Sadie responded with base animal instinct-by lunging at the hand, with her shark like teeth bared wide.

"OH HO! YOUSSUNS IS OKAY!" R.E.G.I.S. ran at the charging koopa and gave the angry beast a very large hug. "REGGIE IS GLADS YOU IS FEELUNS BETTAH! YOUSE MUST NOTTA BEENS TOO HURT! REGGIE'S HEALUNS MAKE YOU UP-AND-AT-EM!"

If the metal man had a face, his grin would have been a mile wide.

Nikolai, already near the cube to examine it, sighed and watched at all the displays of "affection" going on around him. Very nice people he had just ended up with, and the fact they seemed to be confused and prone to misunderstanding each other really didn't make things better.
: "...I can't help but wonder how problematic our group will be." He muttered, facing the cube once more.

Turn 2, Day 1, ???

The Koopa and the Golem have gotten into unpleasantries based on the Golem's humor. Unknown to the Golem, the punch did in fact not heal the koopa, but merely bounced his flesh a little. All the people with powers in their previous world seems to notice it too. Some of their more direct powers seem dulled.

The Elf was trying to find out what hid behind the thick layer of fog, but as he came close to it, he had to stop. They seemed like walls, impenetrable! Touching the fog made it yield slightly, but else it stood solid. This was no ordinary fog at all.

As everyone was trying to cope with each other, the cube started to give off a light stronger than it was humming with before.

After a sharp light, an odd creature made out of squares have sprung from the cube. The people look in amazement as this odd form hovers around a little, before addressing them all:

"Loading general greeting #352 part 1...Done. Greetings newcommers! Welcome to the wonderful world of Daros! I hope you packed a good backpack, or understand how one could survive in the wilderness, because you will need it on this journey! My name is Uniq! I will be your guide! I am sure you all have a wonderfully large amount of questions, but first I must introduce the Cube!"

Uniq pointed towards the cube it spawned from.

"Loading general greeting #352 part 2...Done. You might not think this cube looks like much, but it is very important to your journey! Heck it's the reason you are all here! Besides the fact that it acts as my core, and thus my brain, it can also store items and in time learn a bunch of new abilities too!"

"Now, I can answer a few questions, but else I must rest my batteries, as I don't have much charge right now due to the fog layer."

The youth smirked as the creature emerged from the cube. Hadn't he seen something like that in a webcomic? Or maybe in a game he had recently played, but he was mostly certain he had seen something like that somewhere before being leaving his house for his trip.
: "How were we brought here, and most importantly, why?" Nikolai asked Uniq, still wondering how and why people so different were in the same place.

Sadie's attention was immediately drawn from trying to bite off the Queens Hand, to the strange form now rising from the box.

Her intellect reasserting itself as the land-based changes continued, Sadie drew back and took a deep lungful of air as her land based breathing apparatus formed into place. Her teeth shrunk down to a more Human-like pair of molars and bicuspids, and her other shark like features similarly withdrew-her cranium sprouted long, kelp green hair, and her stark black eyes developed white corneas, then green irises-among other mammalian changes.

She looked up at the person who had been trying to help her. Sadie noticed, she had flinched back from her.

Oh, this was so embarrassing...despite her size, her voice was quiet and non-assertive.

"Oh, did I try to bite you? Uh, I'm very sorry...I wasn't in my right mind.

I'm also very confused. Who are you?"

...

After her conversation with the Queen, she turned her attention to more pressing matter.

Fin to Legs was the hardest and longest transformation-so she more or less dragged herself back to the pedestal, waiting for them to pop into place.

"Uniq, did you say...I would also ask the landwalkers question.

Um, more importantly, how do we get back? I was in the middle of some very ahem, important research."

She turned to Nikolai, flipping on her side, and looking down on him. She thought of him how she thought of most of Humans on first impression. He was so very...short...

"Hello there, Land-Walker. Are you leader of...whatever this is? You seem to be taking the lead. If so, we should probably discuss whats going on here.

I'm Sadie Coldshoal, by the way. Do you have a name? Oh, I guess that's a silly question. All Humans have names. So, what's yours?"
She said, flipping her hair and paddling her tail on the ground.

Of all the responses to a giant enraged charging koopa, being hugged is the last one that Bowser expected. The sudden weight of the metal golem threw off his balance, and before he knew it he was rolling over the ground. A few flips later, he was on the back of his shell again, groaning in annoyance. Yet the metal thing didn't even respond to the attack, but just babbled on happily like an idiot. Did he actually think that he, the king of the koopas, needed healing? And that a punch to the face was how to do it? This... thing... was pushing a new record for downright stupidity. But then again, that might be useful.

"Uh, right, Feeluns bettah. You got the touch. Hurt go bye bye." Bowser said, deciding that he might not want to burn this thing yet. He just levered himself upright again and got to his feet. "In exchange for your help, I'm gonna reward you. You will be the first member of the brand new Auxiliary Exploration Koopa Troop. Which means taking orders from me. Do you understand that?"

Meanwhile, the humming from the cube was getting his attention. He glanced over in its direction just in time to see the creature made from cubes spring into life. He frowned as the little thing announced that it was the reason for him being there. The aquatic looking person was already addressing the most important issue, how to get home. But Bowser saw no reason not to add his own say. He was the King after all. "You. Cube thingie. You say you brought us here? I demand you take us home at once!" Bowser ordered, leveling a claw at Uniq.

Nikolai stared at the female from a good distance below her. She was taller and larger than him, that much he could tell just by looking, and judging from her words, she had recovered from her recent panic attack and had just started to act in a way considered normal.

At least she seemed more friendly than some of the people around him...He smiled at her and answered her question. It wouldn't hurt to get to know the people that were stuck with him in that situation.
: "My name is Nikolai Amsel, pleased to meet you."

Was she even female? After all, there was nothing quite like most of these people in the place/dimension he came from. He decided not to take risks for the moment and play it safe, avoiding the "lady" he was about to put in the end of his introduction.

"Nik-o-lai Ams-el." Sadie repeated. "First name, Eastern European variant of Nicholas, from the Greek Nikolaos, 'Victory of the People"...second name Amsel, German for "Blackbird", a wide ranging land-based avian." She grimaced a bit as her tail finally split, and two legs and feet formed from either end. She immeditately sat up in a cross legged position.

"...that's so much better! Likewise, a pleasure to meet you.

Do you prefer me to call you with your full name, half name, side name or other nonformal mammalian designation-most popular being friend, mister, sir, bro, brother, dude or man?"

She angled her head to one side, watching him with interest-as any Scientist would her subject.
