"Huh? what the?" Bowser mumbled, as he found himself flying into the air. The midair pop seemed to bring his wits about him, only to reveal him falling towards the thing's mouth.

"Oh HELL no!" Bowser shouted. Spreading out his arms and legs to catch himself on the edges of the thing's maw, he breathed a torrent of flame directly beneath himself and straight into the creature's mouth.

"If it weren't for the whole... tongue thing... that would be kinda fun... too bad." Cora aims an arrow down the beasts gullet.

[Caellath]

: "Hmm. Unable to decipher yet. Why don't we follow the sounds of battle?"

Sighing once more after realizing his attempts at causing embarassment were falling on deaf ears, Nikolai decided to push the game a little further. It was only a matter of time...
: "Let's do it. Do you have anything against me getting Tenacity next, by the way? I'm not exactly in the mood to depend on that Horror Heart."

: "Yes. Right now." Queen stifled laughter. She was not immune to double entendres, but she chose to ignore them. "And no. Would also prefer not seeing your other form. You're better like this."

She thought about it for a minute.

: "Want to talk to Nayru, though... the Goddess of Love and Protection might still be able to help."

: "And no. Would also prefer not seeing your other form. You're better like this."

: "Ah, thanks. I also find you quite charming." he answered with a barely-contained grin, sticking one of his hands inside his pocket while the other reached for the sword at his back, preparing for the incoming fight. "You could try talking to Nayru, but seeing as we seem to be in a dimension separate from all of our worlds...It may be hard to hear you."

: "Indeed. Even in my world before tragedy, she did not speak much for many years." Queen looked down at her right arm. "Although I do not remember the times when I became her Avatar, I know we used to be close. But when my daughter came of age, I gave her my Triforce, and since then the gods have paid more attention to her troubles."

Turn 7, Dungeon




The emptiness inside grows larger.

Everyone rushes to the combat, flanking and massing around the foe!





Everyone Charges in, but only REGIS activated his Assault for some reason! The mouth of the creature is snapped closed so fast that it chopped off it's own tongue! Ouch, that has GOT to hurt!

...Wait, YES! YES IT'S A-



COMBAT CRUSH!



The fiend was completely obliterated.





Victory! It dropped some Tones and a Dungeon Key! This should be helpful!

Combat Crush!:
The dreaded Combat Crush can only be activated when you outnumber an enemy 3 to 1, flank the enemy so you have units on both sides and everyone on your side decide to attack! In comparison, a giant enemy counts as 4 units, so you would need 12 units to activate the Combat Crush on those. It is a dreaded ability, that makes everyone move on their own in perfect unison. Some say its heritage is some leftover mana code from wherever the Outsider stole the system of ACoS, but that fact is shrouded in myths and legends.

Aidan stared, speechless at the outcome for a few moments as the tension faded from the scene of the battle before choosing to move to deposit the tomes in Cube.

"Nik, Queen, Bowser! And Cora! We thought we were separated from you all! What...was the creature that made up these tomes?

"Also, did you by any chance find a key on your way?"

Sadie breathed a sigh of relief. What an easy battle!

"I'm glad you're safe, my friend." She said to Bowser, hugging him briefly.

Afterwards, when she been told of the monsters paralyzing lick, Sadie began searching for a piece of the tongue among the tones and rubble-surely, it would be a powerful ingredient for a Fearsome weapon!

Action: See if I can find any parts of Monsters tongue that are left...

"Ah, hah. Silly me, here's the key all along!" said Aidan, picking up the Dungeon Key.

"Strange, this can only mean one thing. Whatever that thing was must've ate whoever guarded this dungeon a long time ago, seeing it's tongue size.

"And I think we'd better leg it to the door back where we came from. Judging from what the Reaper said, we're in for quite a fight; starting with this key."

Remembering a scene from earlier, he tapped Queen's shoulder. "Do you think you could replicate your design with this bow and the terranome root? It seems Cube is filled up at the moment."

Hand over Bow > Queen if she accepts, and then resort items and tomes in Cube.

"Thirst rising, naught but food to consume... at least there's tomes... Anyone want this?" Cora offers her Spiral Fruit to the group, filling the inventory slot with tones instead.

That felt good. Queen tried to diminish the thought, but she couldn't. The power of that attack was overwhelming, and she enjoyed it.

Perhaps it was the potential. Potential for destruction she'd never had in her own world. The laws were so strict... you couldn't venture aboveground without a Border Permit. Couldn't slay roaming monsters without a Hunting Permit. Any disallowed aggression punishable by exile. Maybe if she had not been the queen overseeing these laws - if she'd grown up a peasant - she would have enjoyed the power.

Maybe she would have been an Elemental Magi. A Destruction Magi. Maybe even a roaming Spellblade. Chained down by the beauracracy that made Hyrule so peaceful, though, she had the most comprehensive possible view of suffering in her kingdom. Taking up healing was only logical. Anything she could do to bring a little relief to her subjects.

Banish the thought. Right. Queen was here to help, not to harm.

Their latest find - that combo - only made him believe there was something inherently wrong with everything, like living in the Matrix. Even then, he was satisfied with just going with the flow.

Take Cora's Spirer Fruit and eat it. Allow Queen to have it instead. Store excess tones in own inventory.

Nik's hand nonchalantly moved in to take the fruit as Cora offered it, the halfling no doubt eager to fill even her underwear with tones.
: "Thanks." he said. "Also, does anyone here have anything against me taking Tenacity? I don't wanna to become a furious giant from time to time, and you have to admit you don't either."

Queen suddenly realized the Fruit Paste didn't restore thirst, and she was awful thirsty.

: "Ah, Nikolai, is it possible I could use that instead?" Queen put on her adorable princess face. It was the same as her normal face. "We only have one, and I don't think I can go much longer without something to drink..."

Eat the Spirar Fruit if Nikolai lets me take it. Whether he does or not, head west.

: "Looks like the key fits in here."

: "Ah, Nikolai, is it possible I could use that instead?" Queen put on her adorable princess face. It was the same as her normal face.

: "Oh, sure, you can use me all you want." Nikolai answered with a mischievous smile before giving her the fruit. "You can also have the fruit, though."

Nik got back to putting his arms behind his head. They really need to find some source of water or food soon or the team would be toast in a few more hours. Both their hunger and thirst were apparently magnified in that dimension.
