: "Let's just get going. I'd make a Dungeons and Dragons joke, but that would be too cheap."
"Should make it anyway, sometimes it's the cheap stuff that gets you far... a 5 silver c.m.w. could just very well save your life... but don't expect it to prevent dragon burn..."

"I was Sadmash the Mer-Barbarian in mine. I had a vorpal returning keen greatsword of flaming slashy goodness +4!"
"You were Sadmash?! The one of legend and yore?! Stories say that he single handedly took on 6 krakens while under a hex of stunning, and bleeding out from the back stab of his once trusty tortoise companion, and writing the first draft of the second proclamation of the freedom and equal rights of sentient mer-people. I conducted a ballad on him for a free night in a tavern once..." Cora giggles with school-girl level of proficiency... "Could I have your autograph? It would be worth thousands of platinum... especially seeing as he died several millennia ago... but that I'm sure you know, you played the man..! fish... person..."

"Onward to adventure!" *pretends to roll dice*
Cora watches the imaginary dice roll along the ground...

"You got a 12... I think with your dexterity bonus you successfully did whatever it was you were trying to do..."

Cora peers down the shaft of impending descent...

"We should get back on track, I dunno what that 5 stands for, but be it seconds or turns, we don't have the time to waltz... no really, waltzing takes a lot of time..."

"You have Dungeons and Dragons in your world too? I was Sadmash the Mer-Barbarian in mine. I had a vorpal returning keen greatsword of flaming slashy goodness +4!"
: "Oh really? Did you really play D and D?" Nik asked, his face brightening. "I played Amazuo, a kitsune ninja and fighter multiclass using the CS lucky feats. He was mostly good at dishing out criticals and not being caught by the enemy. Pretty acrobatic."

He stops for a moment as if thoughtful.
: "We had a powergamer playing a water orc, but the dice gods seemed to hate him. He kept failing saves and no matter the feats he picked, he ended up having trouble even if his character was the best built of the team."

"Hey steve." You speak into the air.
>Yes?
"Could you guys also make a hamburger out of this arm when they cut it off? I wanted to eat it just for the sake of tasting it."
>That is horrible and disgusting. It will no doubt set you apart and create fear in your team mates. So of course.

"Onward to adventure!" *pretends to roll dice*

Action: Eat my Spirer Fruit Mash, yum. Then collect my bow and terenome root in the inventory. Head into the dungeon when everyone is ready.

: "You do not mind, I will be using those in work before entering." Queen looked towards REGIS who was holding the cube with the items inside. "I would rather conserve my magick for healing. And, with Kaina's strength, Aidan may handle himself in battle now. Perhaps borrow his?"

"Wow, yet another character of yore... Amazuo... let's see... he was the one who foiled the dread lich Aka-nimo during the great escapades of Grag'ko the orc, was he not? Or am I thinking of Uslin... no... that was Uslin... I was sure I knew Amazuo from somewhere... Oh! He was listed as one of the fallen, in the... Gammoria tragedy..." Cora's face darkens... "Boy, I'd hate to have known him, to become one of those... things..." Cora shudders with fear and disgust.

Nikolai shrugged.
: "Well, mine never died...And your name...I think I remember someone who played Cora Tealeaf, halfling bard. She escaped a forest fire with some bad burns as part of her background...But her death was pretty terrible in the end."

The young man seems to wince before continuing.
: "No player tried to think too hard about what happened to her in that session after she failed both a reflex and a fortitude save. The guy just rolled a human paladin and kept playing."

Cora stares intently at Nik...
"Future casting much? While I'd like to think that I'd make it out of this with nothing but a few burns, I'm gonna stay a little less than optimistic..."

Cora's face pales...
"I... if... that..."

All this talk of +4 greatswords of goodness and past lives, real or not, was massively confusing to poor old REGIS.

"I... WHAT. REGGIE IS VERY CONFUSED ABOUTS THIS PASTS LIVES BUSINESSUN. SADIES WAS ONCE A MAN?"

It was just too much. REGIS didn't even bother trying to make sense of it. Instead, he just shook his head and hurried to complete his craft project before the timer ran out.

REGIS grabbed the Time Stamp Crystal and carefully put his own hands into the duplicator's blueprint slot. He then fed the crystal into the material resource slot.

"HOPES THISUN WORKS."

"Uh...wha...but...I...only stored it for a second..." She said, her voice cracking. She didn't want to use the club again. Sadie remembered being beaten by the evil monsters. She eeep'd. Hopefully Aidan would help her.

Queen giggled a little. Sadie was awfully distraught over the weapon.

: "If Aidan will not share his bow, I will return it. I have merely observed the Terranome and believe it may be beneficial one way or other." She put her fingers together in a "triangle" shape and laid them over her chest. "I only wish to help."

Sadie nodded, and copied the triangular hand signal Queen had made, wondering what it meant, but assuming it was only polite.

Somewhat mollified by Queens words, she turned to Nikolai.

"Likewise with me-Sadmash was horribly unoptimized, if fun to play. I eventually retired him by soloing a demilich by himself! I suppose I never thought it might have real consequences in some strange world..."

Oddly, the thought didn't bother Sadie much...

"The oddest thing, you know-imagination creates worlds and sentient beings to inhabit them, shouldn't it be the constant, rather than the variable? Might all of us be tethered to some strange, incomprehensible beings who command our every move?"

She looks up into the sky, wondering grand thoughts...was there perhaps a face up there, looking down on her? Was he smiling? Frowning? What might his life be like, this strange God-or half God. Was he at the mercy of fates like she was?

Questions...questions. Everyone hears the faintest sound of glass breaking in the distance.

: "Well, that is what I was talking about some time ago!" Nikolai says with a smile. "If our D&D characters may actually turn out to have life in different dimensions, there is nothing that says we can't actually be someone's characters...But then..."

: "It might be better not to entertain that idea too much. Otherwise, some of us might question our dreams and hopes, actions and passions. Although I wouldn't particularly mind. If we feel real, we are real, even if such affirmative is relative."

Remembering something, Aidan quickly turned on his heel to move up to Queen and Sadie.

"I seem to be forgetful today, Sadie, as I have Kaina's headband (and perhaps, something reminiscent about her), my bow stays with your hand. Your prowess with it is amazing, if I could say.

"Seeing you and Queen with one would make a compelling tale once we start."

My BOW > Sadie!

My BOW > Sadie!

Sadie took the opportunity to bend down and plant a kiss on Aidans right cheek. He was fairly warm to the touch, but she knew to Aidan her lips would feel ice cold.

"Yum.

Uh, I mean, thank you so much, Aidan!"
She finished, with a coy smile.

"Heh."

Aidan resisted the urge to return the friendly gesture, seeing as...well, it was hard to return correctly. "I'm used to the feel of a feather shaft between my fingers other than drawing an empty shot, feels...off to me. Usually hurts a bowstring's integrity, and through that, the bow.

"Fascinating technology, though."

Addressing Nik. "So that beast was really you? How did it feel to...shift into it?"
