Opening Ceremonies start very shortly (at least for you folks in the UK). Apparently there are livestock involved?  ???

Huh. Here, they're showing a "30 Best Moments" program. This channel has Olympic coverage all day, surely they'd show the opening ceremonies!

BBC has shown the livestock already. Geese, Shirehorses, cows and sheep so far...

There's a site with live coverage from dozens of European tv channels... that I can do fuck-all with because iPads are shit. I hate this trip.

I think we ought to hold our very own Bay-12 Olympics Let's Play. How it can go is that anyone attending the forum LP will get their own copy of the C64 game Summer Games 1 and 2 (since they can be linked when playing 2), and we can setup events over time. Everyone will have their time to practice the events (using practice mode only), and then when scoring time comes, everyone plays the event in normal mode, and only have one attempt at it (as per normal mode procedures go). Record/submit your score for the event (no recording necessary, just post your score as it's shown) when it's time for the event to be played, and by the end of the set time for the events, we determine who gets what medal. Overall winner is who has the most medal value (1 for each bronze, 3 for each silver, 5 for each gold).

Here's what I'm talking about.
