Running water off the side of the map?
« on: July 26, 2012, 04:04:59 am »

Hi,
I think I read somewhere, on these forums, that you could run water off the side of the map, if you didn't have anywhere to dump it.
I'm trying to make an overflow run-off for my resovoir, but I can't mine the last block, on the edge of the map.

How do I do this? Will it vanish through the last block? Is it not possible to do this?

smooth (d -> s) and then carve a fortification in the wall (d -> can't remember)

There's safe. Then there's unsafe. And then there's the average dwarf fort, which remains unrated because the OSHA inspector flatly refused to go anywhere within a dozen miles of the place.
