The conversation slowly ended as the last few numbers on the counters disappeared.  It was decided, kingfisher would be the one to be Erased this day.

00:00:00

The timer reached zero at last, and right on cue a message arrived.

Attention all Players, the votes stand as follows:
[Hapah] {1}: kingfisher1112
[Deathsword] {0}:
[Boltur] {0}:
[Mr. Dwarfinton] {0}:
[Dustylou2] {1}: borno
[borno] {0}:
[kingfisher1112] {7}: Mr. Dwarfinton, Dariush, Boltur, Deathsword, Jim Groovester, Hapah, borno
[Dariush] {0}:
[Jim Groovester] {0}:

Not voting {0}:
Replacement queue {0}:

The day has ended and by popular consensus,
kingfisher shall be Erased.

Everyone looked at kingfisher. For the first time he seemed to realize that this truly was the end.

“Guys, listen to me, I’m not a Reaper, I swear!  If I disappear here then my parents… ”  He looked down at his hands, which like his feet were now quickly becoming transparent, “Oh god, oh god, no no no no, this can’t be happening!  WHYYYYYYYY!?”

His body became more and more transparent with every moment until there was nothing left, his mouth disappeared last, still releasing its mournful cry, which continued even after there was nothing left of him to see.

Slowly it faded away much as his body had and it was replaced by another noise.  The beeping of several cell phones.

kingfisher has been erased. Regrettably,
I must inform you that he was a Player.

Two Reapers still lurk among you.

You will all now lose consciousness for
24 hours,
during which time the Reapers
hiding among you will decide to Erase one
of you.

As soon as the final person finished reading the message, six of them fell over.

Two remained standing.

They began to whisper.

kingfisher1112 has been lynched he was vanilla town
Quote
Player (VANILLA TOWN)

You are a Player in the Reapers Game, you gave up the one thing that is most precious to you to enter and obtain the ultimate prize waiting for you at the end.  However, fail and you will be Erased from existence completely.

You are TOWN. You win when the SCUM TEAM is eliminated.

The game has entered the night phase, no one may post during the night phase and the thread will be locked to ensure as such.

Please submit your actions for the night if you possess any via PM to me.

The night will end in 24 hours or when I receive all actions

You open your eyes to the sight of the blue sky overhead.   The sounds of the city are still present, but they seem far off.

You push yourself to your feet and look around.   Now instead of the buildings rising above you, they sit below.  From your perch atop the highest building in the city the people are but mere specks and their voices and the sounds of the city's traffic are indistinguishable from one another, blending into an incomprehensible murmur that lazily rises up to the top of the skyscraper.

Even the sound of your phone beeping is easily louder.

Mission:
The same as yesterday, two
Reapers
lie amongst you,
only now there are only five
of you.

Determine who the Reapers
are and Erase them and
you win.

You have 72 hours until the
second "day" end.

Once again you feel a sharp pain on your hand, and the counter appears.  Then something occurs to you.

Five players?

A quick glance around and you determine that Dariush is no longer among you.  It seems that he was simply a Player who had the misfortune of catching the Reapers attention.

Seven people stood in a circle. Much as they had done the day before, when there were nine of them.

All seven breathed a sigh of relief that they had survived the first day.

Two started to think of who they were going to Erase next.

Dariush was erased in the Night, he was a Player (Vanilla Town)!

Day 2 will end Thursday 7:30 PM CDT

borno, posting this again to start off the day. Answer it this time.

dustylou2:
I was quite focused on him because he voted FBL over, what, at the time, seemed like a simple pressure vote. But when he didn't post again, I got suspicious. I voted him because he had voted someone for no reason, with no question. That on its own wouldn't of warranted a vote; but then he disappeared straight after, which looked like scum putting a vote on someone and then not bothering to take it off, even when presented with arguments why to do so.
Could you clarify this a bit? The pronouns are bamboozling me.

Deathsword: kingfisher1112 flipped town. Who are you suspicious of now?

borno, I want a response to my questions:

So do you still suspect those players for the reasons you voted them?

He looked like the kind of scum who puts a vote on someone and then lurks the rest of the game.

What kind of scum does that?

I ask this question because I don't think I've ever seen any scum put a reasonless vote on someone and disappear completely.

kingfisher:
You seem to be acting incredibly scummy.

Why say he seems to be acting scummy? Why not just call him incredibly scummy? Why add all these pointless qualifiers?

I'm not satisfied that you're not bandwagoning scum, and I will make a decision about voting you pending your responses.

Boltur:
I guess scum would have the tendency to just skim over the thread because they do not need to find anything and just look like they're doing something.

That's quite the assumption about scum play. Where did this assumption come from?

Everybody: The useful part about the lynch and the nightkill is that it gives you concrete information. You should look back at Dariush's and kingfisher1112's posts with the knowledge that they are town. Just because somebody flipped town doesn't mean they were right about their suspects, but at least you know they weren't trying to be duplicitous with what they were saying.

Until Day 2 starts ramping up I recommend everyone review Day 1 with the roleflips in mind to look for leads. This is what I did.

I have already, more than twice. But I guess I should, for clarity's sake.
Initially, it looked like DS voted FBL over what seemed like a pressure vote. But then it turned out not to be a pressure vote, as FBL stopped posting after that. Thus, I switched my vote to him, as it looked like he was just lurking.

Well, I just think that this is a scummy thing to do. I've never seen anyone do this though, so perhaps I'm wrong.

I don't know, I guess just to add pressure.
Does one word really matter that much?

I'm quite tired now, I'll read through the thread later.

Using my 'bah' Post.
First, I would like to say that this was fantastic and fun. You guys are awesome, thanks.
And I hope the town wins, naturally. I can see where I went wrong really, but ultimately I hope that the town can sucsessfully use the skills that they investigated me with to catch the scum. Thank you and goodbye.

Sorry for my disappearance, i just got overwhelemd with stuff i needed to do and couldn't get to posting before day ended.

Jim: Scum have no real goal except survinvg the day so i guess following the thread is less important to them. They could probably only act when directly attacked or when they found an easy vote. So being passive seems like a good thing for a scum to do, that is if it is not done to the extreme.

Rereading now. Answers for yesterday questions and some conclusions next post.

I think it's a bit too early to ask that, as I'm stil reviewing D1.

That said, I do have some suspicions, but until I get something solid I won't go around saying names.

Should have some questions later, I'm somewhat short on time right now.
