Balanced role powers are, in my opinion, much more important than numbers of players in each faction. You'll get much better advice from a spoilspec than a prospective player with no info.

No, YOU slow down. 7-2-1 really depends on what the "1" is. The 3rd party being a SK is not the same as a survivor, or a brother, or a cultist, or a jester, or something else. That's not even considering that the 7-2 part really depends on powers, if the 7 have three PGOs, or two docs and two cops, or the scum can get two kills (remember the game with a dopp-vig?).

If you think you can say "yeah, 7-2-1 is balanced" just like that in that amount of time, then you are very much justifying [insert insult here]. Some discussion on the topic of balancing a 10-p game with weird powers was held here.
