Sign me up for a turn please. I've never played adventure mode before, but I am a hardened fortress veteran. This should be fun.

Okay, sorry for the inaction, guys. Started work again this past week and I've been crazy busy and tired. I've updated the first post. Sprin, I bumped you down a few places. I also sent a message to uber pye letting him know it's his turn. If he doesn't post within three days we'll move on to the next one.

I will try to update the map soon with this new fortress, just don't have time today. If anyone else is feeling ambitious and wants to make us a new map, I'll happily add it to the first post!

My name is Sizet Ataipom. I am just a lowly peasant but some day I will be more.

1st of sandstone 106

my adventure starts today! Even better my friend Itlud the pikeman said he would come with me!
The only problem is that the town has no problems!

*GASP!* a dead body! this looks like a mystery to solve! On a different note, i should loot the body and start training.

After talking to the family, it seems they have no problem that there is a dead body in their house. this just adds to the mystery.

examining the corpse i found elf bone items and money. THIS MUST HAVE SOMETHING TO DO WITH HIS MURDER. i will take these as evidence.

talking to a farmer i have learned that there is a temple to the east called the Church of Heroes. Maybe That is where the foul murder went. I must travel there to find out.

i have now traveled to the Hamlet of Mesh-carry maybe they could have some idea about who the murderer is!

They know nothing yet they are all in grave danger! I must continue until i can find a lead.

2nd of sandstone

i have stumbled upon a destroyed house. much like my home town, the citizens have ether have no idea or do not care what happened to it.

either way i shall travel the the capital!

i continue my quest but find no work or leads. maybe there i will find something in other lands

other lands are dangerous and now i am dead :(

ooc: I would just like to make a note of this, the succession gets A LOT harder with each player. i could not find any work in the local area.

also we have two tries right?

Yes, two tries. Also, adding more fortresses to the world should provide more opportunities for adventure. To get your skills up you can always practice on respawning sewer bandits or wild animals, or undead in haunted regions. Anyway, the world is big enough that there is plenty to do - there's probably just not much left close to the retirement center. Try starting somewhere else. Once you're strong enough to retire, traveling shouldn't be so dangerous anymore.

TRY 2

IN THE BITTER NORTH THERE IS ONLY COLD!!!!

I am Godan Drumsieges a peasant spear-man from the northern lands. i now begin my journey to power and fame!

15th of sandstone

The local towns have given me a quest to assassinate a bandit ringleader. This is my chance to show what i can do!

17th of sandstone

after two days of ambushing and throwing sharp rocks I have slain all the bandits and have returned victorious!

next is a vampire and a husband of an abomination. these demons of the dark shall die!

first i hunt the vampire!

19th of sandstone

i have entered the town the vampire feeds in. Now it is I who shall be hunting it!

I HAVE FOUND THEE FOWL BEAST!

the angry mob descended upon the vampire and we kill one by one until it was only me. it was a close battle but he was slain.

this brush with death has made me consider retirement but i am hardly ready for that. Though I have heard of a wondrous land in the south...

ooc: done for this post the tale will continue later

Asa was the guy I trying to locate and kill when the entire town erupted into chaos...

My dead body should be there somewhere, inside a building on the West end of town. Don't think I had that much of interest on me at the time.

Yeah, I can verify the southeast of this world is somewhat problem free.  Future adventurers have the whole North and West to make their name in (as far as I can tell).

Perhaps, in order to keep some fun for people further down the list, we should institute a mandatory retirement policy for anyone who meets all the requirements? Otherwise this game won't last very long, which would be a shame considering how long I spent on that pointless retirement center.  ;D
