Started as a "human start now" peasant. put my points into reading, swimming dodging, and agility.

I woke up with a with a terrible headache this morning, which was not the only problem: I was also completely naked, and had apparently spend the night in the refuse stockpile. Too much swamp whiskey again.
while I sneaked back home to get some clothing from the cabinet in the dormitory I struggled to remember what party I had been to the evening before but there was not a single thing I could remember. Somewhat dressed I walked to the well in the middle of the town to get some water to clean the foul taste from my mouth. There were several villagers in the street and they gave me stares that suggested that I must have really misbehaved yesterday. They even pointed at me, and I'm sure I heard whispers.
suddenly one of the village elders stepped up to me and handed me a rope reed bag. "Bralbaard Greengranite" he said, "I suggest you leave town for a while, to think about your actions of yesterday.... If you think of returning, I would suggest you'd bring some proof of heroic deeds, something that outweights the shame and dishonor you brought to yourself and your family..
His deadly cold stare told me it would be unwise to ask how many heroic deeds were needed, but a first guess would be that he would not be easily pleased.
Nobody in town seemed to be in a mood to say goodbye and I left Nationdrinkers followed by angry stares. Quite a bad start to the day.
In the next town I ran into a veteran marksman and woman who were asking around town for meatshields to join them in their quest. Both were local heroes, and when asked, told me they killed several elves, and an assortment of giant creatures and animal men. They were known as Gulgud glistennamed and Asri Quicknessdangled. Since I had to start my heroic deeds somewhere I volunteered to join them. Gulgud looked me up and down and she was seriously considering to reject me, but Asri interupted and said they'd take me along, as meatshields were hard to come by these days.
We travelled for almost a day to some nearby bandit camps, but had to cross several rivers. Since I had learned to swim at a young age this was no problem for me, but we lost Asri somewhere in the first river. It turned out that Asri and Gulgud were no close friends, and were just together for this adventure so no time was lost mourning. We quickly reached the second river, were we ran into an alligator. Gulgud fired arrows at it from the riverside (the beast was still in the water) and looked at me accusingly because I was doing nothing heroic. The arrows were doing little damage, but apparently this was a particularly flimsy alligator, and from my vantage point I could see it lost consiousness when hit with that last arrow. I seized my chance and jumped into the water, screaming dramatically. By splashing around and screaming I hoped to fake that the alligator was still strugling.
It was suprisingly hard to kill the unconcious alligator, I must have stabbed it at least 15 times before it finally died, but this all helped the illusion that I was fighting a battle on life and death.
When I emerged out of the water dragging the dead alligator, Gulgud said she misjudged me, I was a lot braver than she had expected. The trick worked. We butchered the alligator, and to my surprise we found a couple of magnetite gizzard stones in the creatures stomach. I took them as a souvenir.
