Otherwise this game won't last very long, which would be a shame considering how long I spent on that pointless retirement center.
How much time did that thing actually take to build? Also I think it should be mandatory for people to build fortresses after they've retired, so that the Fun in the world is always being renewed.

I'm sorry Sappho, but I am afraid that I'll have to forfeit my turn.
Have literally zero free time to play Dwarf Fortress right now.

But good luck you guys, maybe next time.

23rd of sandstone

i have no time for sewer bandit! i need to talk to the one in the north, Mater Soulring.

25th of sandstone

today the lady of Sloshcotton gave me a quest to take down the evil twilight freak terrorizing the area

truly this is a foe who must be slain

and it and its family were slain!

27th of sandstone

i return victorious and have been given a new challenge

but first i must find Mater Soulring.

28th of sandstone

i have found Mater Soulring and he has given me a quest to slay a criminal mastermind in the catacombs of the nearby town.

1st of timber

wandering through the catacombs i have finally found the criminal's gang. the problem though is that i am now alone and have only manage to kill one of his lackeys. I need to retreat to the surface to get more help

3rd of timber

it was the wrong criminal. I'm going to hunt that giant instead.

4th of timber

i have discovered a cave lets see whos it is...

5th of timber

it leads in to the caves deep under all of us. A wonderful site for any adventure but i have other thing to do
i have desired to head south to the mythical retirement home. I figure that by the time i get there i will meet the requirements

whenever

Oh the irony, i was planing to retire after i adventure to the south. i guess i will never get to see it.

that is what i get for being a peasant who wants to be more...

OOC: legendary skills gotten- thrower, archer, fighter
also keep in mind i never found a crutch! I was crawling the world! I also had all the things I needed to retire. dang...

guess i will start a fort somewhere in the world tomarrow

DrunkenCaveOgre has been notified of his turn. He'll have 3 days to start before we move on to the next person.

I've updated the rules a bit in the first post. Have a look, everyone, and let me know if you agree. Most notably is the "two lives" rule and the forced retirement rule.

uber pye, did you actually make it to the retirement center and donate an item? I only have a couple of minutes, no time to read through your whole story again now, and I can't remember.

Also sorry again for not being more active. I'm having some problems with my visa now and spending most of my time and energy trying to solve that so I don't have to leave the country. Everyone send good vibes and hope that it gets solved soon!

We fill all the rooms in the retirment center and assault HELL!!
Why else would dwarves let people retire?

Yes, sorry, looks like DrunkenCaveOgre isn't showing up, so I'll message Manze about his turn. Been preparing my kindergarten for the start of the school year on Monday, and dealing with more visa difficulties, so I haven't been around as much as I should. If there's no response from Manze in three days, someone else can feel free to message the next person on the list to get started, and I'll update the first post asap.

Downloading save now. I can't guarantee any updates on the weekend, but I'll have one up on Monday.

EDIT: ...So I have no idea what version this is on. I'll download the latest and play it on that, but feel free to correct me if it's actually on a different version.

My name is Adil Shieldmachines. I know not who my parents were, but the people of the Mountainhomes claim I come from gods.

I grew bored of life in the halls, so I went down to the nearby human town looking for something to do.

Unfortunately, it seemed I was not wanted.

After wandering through town for a short time, I found a human who was eager to leave the town, so I invited him to come with me. He was convinced, however, that my travels were foolish.

My first kill! After Or shot it from the skies, I ran up to it and caved in its skull with my bag. This spear is unwieldy - I must find a shield soon.

Night has fallen. I hope Or will keep vigilant watch while I sleep my shift.

Ow.

Well that went exceptionally badly. No quests, the only follower I could find was a bowman (who wasted his ammo on creatures), and I died via ambush in the first night. Will start my second adventurer sometime in the near future.
