Yeah so "polymorph" and "corpse explosion", etc., the magic ammo don't show up at the top of the stockpile list, i got several comments that it was strange (which I agree).

Haha you don't need to put yourself all through that work just for me I could just play what I have right now :P

I did what you suggested and (so far) it seems to have fixed it, at least all of my starting 7 are orcs.

I wish I had taken some screenshots now, it was quite funny actually, the game had also genned in two other gremlin races who were at war with my gremlin civilisation! O.o

EDIT: Also they were all Talented Ambushers, though this was useless as they didn't do anything anyway :P

Since I am in a fey mood anyway: I could offer optional settings for orc fort only. A new tab in the launcher (Orc & Kobold Settings) that toggles stuff specifically for the new races. I know that many things affect orcs as well already...

So. Anything you could possible think of that you would like to have optional? I dont think a "every building on/off" would make sense, but anything else... ?

Hmm interesting, i don't have too many ideas for toggles off the top of my head; I guess most things I just make the way I want it anyway ;)
The only that come to mind
* Warlocks default [BABYSNATCHER] , toggle off for hostile
* Frost Giants  default [BABYSNATCHER] , toggle off for hostile
* Orichalcum_orc default [SPECIAL] , toggle off to be able to order shipments from homeland

But I can imagine make use once I think on it a bit.  Anyone else have other toggles they'd like to see?
(ideally things that involve a metatag in only one place so that it's easy ;) )

P.s. Can you add to frostgiants please the
[COMMON_DOMESTIC_PACK]

I'd like to be able to disable all buildings but 'traditional' ones to give a more primituve feeling...

Take your time, this is something for the second or third next release, not for now. ^^ But I bet some people have some ideas... but I know what you mean. I play my default settings as well, why change something I wrote specifically to meet my needs? :P

Tribal wargear, bowyer, basically turn off the sbility to use guns or anything foreign or hitech.

I thought of "Before the Fall" settings
* play as an expedition of the Orcish Old Kingdom at the height of its power
- Arcane Forge and Ancient Foundry are buildable without blueprints
- Orichalcum is not SPECIAL
- Shaggy Mumakil are DOMESTIC

... just bouncing ideas around.

What would you turn off?  Factory, crucible, Barbarian high-tech buildings.  Anything else?

Basically, the most advanced would be the damascene forge. Only allow the use of the Molten Pit, no smelter.

Well, don't think I can remove the smelter actually, it is hard coded (someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I think so).  But we can do something like this

"Outlander" challenge
* play as an warlord from the hinterlands, uncorrupted by civilization
- disable all Barbarian technology (high tech blueprint) buildings
- disable Masterwork: Crucible, Metallurgist, Trap Engineer, Apothecary, Archaelogist(?), Slaughterhouse(?)
- disable the Orcish: Factory(?), Anatomical Theatre
- disable Coal, Pig Iron, and Steel reactions from the base smelter
+ keep the Boneyard, Crematorium, and Crate Opening Thing
+ keep all Orcish/caravanserai/shantytown/training buildings not noted

is that close to what you have in mind?

actually i might just scratch out the crucible from our buildings anyway.

Yes, it was intended, because the wicker material was a firesafe, nonflammable stone, you can make furances and stuff out of it and I thought it was weird. (i know that sounds redundant but not actually so in dwarf fortress .. lignite is firesafe but flammable ;) )

i thought of making it require sand and calling the reaction "make adobe bricks", but i didn't remember or get around to it yet ^^

I am going to quick throw together some quick adventure mode tools for Orcs.  (craft tomahawks, macuahuitl, bows etc.)  Any suggestions/requests?
