[Giveaway] Salvation Prophecy
« on: July 21, 2012, 10:00:08 am »

UPDATE: Contest is over!
Winners:
EuchreJack
Cthulhu
Waterplouf
Tibbz2
head

The PR manager for Salvation Manager(Alex P.) was generous enough to give me 5 copies of the game to give away in exchange for promoting it. I will post info about the game below but I want to first tell you I am impressed with the amount and diversity of gameplay it offers. I would describe it as an evolution of Space Rangers series.

PICS:

To enter go to the features page and learn about the 4 factions. Post here and say which faction you would choose and why. You can even make it a short story if you want. 5 winners will be selected on Saturday July 28th at noon EDT(GMT -5).

Let me start by saying that this looks pretty cool.

Now, I'd probably choose Salvation. I like the idea of a fast playstyle. Hit and run tactics have always been pretty effective for me, and that seems to be their preferred method of whittling foes down. Weak weapons are a bit of a turn-off, but I'm all for going zerg mode on the enemies. Not to mention the fact that mutants are awesome. To top it all off, they can turn into ghosts for 30 seconds. I'm going to go all paranormal on those bitches.

And that's why I'd choose Salvation.

I'd go with the Wyr. Just cause I like crazy.

Plopping down turrets and throwing explosives sounds like fun.

I would take salvation, cause they look like Satyrs.  Count me in on the giveaway.

The Drones seem the most interesting to me. I have always found myself attracted to the bad guys a lot more, and the slow, unstoppable assault that seems to characterize them seems to be just that. There is also the part of them being machines. Cold, valuing logic over emotion? That is what I go with most of the time, because that is what I am striving for in real life as well. And it also seems to provide a very interesting roleplaying element to the game.

Definitely the Wyr.

Insane, robotic scientists. That right there is a recipe for a few sleepless nights.

I would probably play the drones.  Robots are cool, relentless invaders are cool, it's just generally cool.

If I was feeling like being a proper Space Ranger, probably free nations.  I have trouble relating to non-human characters when they're the good guys.

I would play as the Drones. I love machines, and I always opt to play a larger, slower, but more powerful assault character!

I just found out the awesome Christonian is going to do an LP of the game too! I've lost a couple of hours to this game already today which is impressive considering it's the final GW2 beta weekend.

Thanks for the giveaway hemmingjay!

Definitely the 'The Drone Unity'.

The Salvation, probably. The Drones look dull, the Free Nations are "herp derp humans are all rounders" and the Wyr ship is fugly.

Question, is this online-only or something? I can't tell. If it is pure multiplayer, then ignore this entry, only because I have no means of playing it, and won't have any for the forseeable future.

I'd pick the Free Nations, primarily because of their fightercraft. Plus, I think I'd have an excuse to yell "SPACE MARINES! ATTACK!!!". The whole freedom and liberty thing, especially against an evil corporation, is just a plus.
