Most ridiculous titan??
« on: July 20, 2012, 03:01:20 pm »

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

A leech made of a glacier with wings and feathers.   This mofo is the ugliest thing I've ever heard of but it's the "regal bearing" that cracks me up. He thinks he's royalty.  Guess I would too.

Edit: Just killed this thing. His only attack was webbing so I'm not bragging LOL.

Glacier Titan is a reference to its biome of origin, not what it's made out of.

Far as ridiculous ones go, I ran across a Forest Titan in Adventure Mode once that was made out of silty clay; it died after one of my companions nicked it with a copper boning knife and sent half of its body flying across the screen.

I fought a Forest titan that was a blob of water, with wings.

*Sigh*

I sincerely hope to find a Titan leech with a thirst for blood one day. Imagine the shrine to that thing...

I'm sure I've seen a few Giant Asses with poisonous cloud attacks on this forum before...

No screens but in one world I had a flying blob of water. A turtle made of amber. A quadruped made of snow and a humanoid made of iron. Then a few more like a purple one eye ladybug that gyrated rhythmically...yeah... wierd world...

I had a forest titan turn up that was a giant quadruped made of coral, with big mandibles and deadly spittle.  Except, the spittle was more like mild annoyance even with multiple direct hits on an unarmoured dwarf.  And where the hell would you get coral in a forest?

Gorerape once faced a giant three-eyed thrips with a poisonous bite. I imagine it must have been around the size of a football. Which is scary, considering it was able to knock down the stone floodgates with ease.

Not a titan, but I had a web spitting giant llama made of vomit. There was some strangeness with the corpse too. I want to say it just showed up as 'vomit' with no other descriptor or something like that. I was hoping I'd be able to butcher it so my dwarves could feast for years on delicious vomit roasts, but it wouldn't butcher unfortunately.

I had a swamp titan (beware its deadly dust!) turn up earlier this evening, and I figured I was done for since my entire militia consisted of four dabbling axedorfs. Except he turned out to be made of water, and a passing hunter severed its upper body with a bone bolt on her second shot before any of my axedorfs had made it to the surface.

The dust turned out to be pretty damn deadly though, and my hunter died from a spectacular array of internal injuries shortly afterwards.
