Personally, I've always thought the "we should just ignore them" thing is absolute bullshit. That is the same flawed line of reasoning that teachers are told to give to bullied students.

Ignoring the WBC is not the answer. Inflicting violence on them is morally wrong, and so the only real solution is...

Protest is a form of attention grabbing; "we want you to hear our message". If you ignore their message, their protest means nothing.

And bullying is a form of attention seeking. If you ignore bullies, they'll go away.

Except that isn't true at all. Some people are just plain shitheads and need to be driven from the temple with knotted cords, or in this case, trolled into silence.

As for Bullies the fact of the matter is that the common perception of bullies is almost entirely constructed by after school specials and not by real psychologists or anyone with the ability to see reality.

"Ignore it" works perfectly on some forms of bullying but not all of it.

To me it doesn't exactly work on the "Attention grabbing" bully as they tend to escalate. It works better on the "Not exactly aware they are bullying" bully as they are less trying to get attention and more they don't realise they are being jerks (or they think being a jerk is perfectly acceptible.

It is not. It's someone (possibly a student) interviewing several WBC members. I recommend watching it just for some of the responses he gets.
