Might also explain he had all that body armor/etc but didn't really resist arrest (as far as I know). You'd think he would bring that stuff along solely for a shootout with the police, unless he thought someone in the theatre had a gun to fire back.

From the report I heard he was apprehended next to his car. I don't know for certain that he just plain surrendered, or if he was wounded before he could do anything, but I'd probably of heard something if he shot at any police.

Hmm, considering he shot up a movie theater, it would seem as if he wanted to go out with a bang. Also, heard something from where? Do we have more secret government types in this thread?

Caught. Did not resist arrest, from reports. Claimed to be "The Joker", under initial police questioning. After all, the Joker got caught by police too. Hope this yahoo wasn't crazy enough to implant a bomb in his stomach.

He was apprehended by the police at his car without a fight. His motives are still unclear. The general suspicion over here is that the Joker thing was either misunderstood or conjecture. That link is a pretty comprehensive source, as long as you don't mind reddit.

Naw, radio report. The chief of police released a statement a few hours ago, and I heard it live. Mostly reiterated what Red King's been saying.
