Better dwarves through botany

I was wondering if anyone else had modded plants to have desirable results?

Black Iris essence causes eyes to rot out. Since it's also a contact poison, you can throw it in adventure mode and can blind enemies.

Numb Rock liquor makes your dwarves, what else? numb. Great for adventurers and companions, just a little splash and BAM! No more passing out from a scratch!

Sounds delicious, but what you really need is a syndrome that causes all their fat to rot off. Then sell it to the humans [/isfunnyjokeaboutsociety]

someone said earlier if the fat melts off on a creature they can't move, so you would be selling then a extremely potent neurotoxin to them. it be funny if their next siege showed up and just fell to the floor paralyzed.

Feel free to check out my Rise of the Mushroom Kingdom mod for ideas - I played a lot with power-up vegetation.  Plants that turn creatures into giants, lets them throw fireballs, gives them the ability to make enemies dizzy, transform them into things, or simply give a temporary boost to one or more stats.  They generally work by eating them rather than contact (this also limits the number of powerups you can have at a time).

Anyone else find it odd that the first two ideas for "plants with beneficial effects" both involve syndromes from before they could be non-malignant?

I made one that when brewed into booze, gives a permanent strength, toughness, and agility boost.
