Friendly Fire with Crossbows?
« on: July 18, 2012, 02:12:59 am »

The wiki entry for Crossbow states:
Quote
Fired bolts may miss the target and fly a bit further than intended, potentially striking another foe or even a friendly soldier on the other side.
Is that right? Did some form of crossbow friendly fire get added to DF?

I've never experienced anything of the sort, even with marksdwarves firing wildly into melees.

I'm pretty sure that entry is incorrect, unless it somehow changed in one of the more recent versions.

It's amazing how dwarves can make a stack of bones completely waterproof and magmaproof.
It's amazing how they can make an entire floodgate out of the bones of 2 cats.

Jam a door with its corpse and let all the goblins in. Hey, nobody said it had to be a weapon against your enemies.
