Can I be in? Is it too late?

If I can be the third person:

>Zomara, can you please put the note up to the light and look through it for secret writing?

>Examine everyone for tattoos, scars, any identifying marks. Have someone look at me where I can't see (back, among my hair, etc).

>Examine the foam pads. Are they rigid or flexible? Any writing or tags? Any seams?

>Heft, bend (if flexible) the pads to find any hidden items inside.

Examine leo's body.

Remove food from container, then throw the container at the grating.

Examine room.

I will take that as a question rather than an action.

so, I will do so, after trying to dry my hands on. . . . . anything dry. I think i Got paint on the paper.

the lights briefly turn off, and when they reactivate, LeoLeonardo has appeared in the room.

They take turns examining each other, but find no unexplained markings.

Leo pokes around the pads. they are flexible and actually rather flimsy, and one has a the remains of a tag reading "d- -move u- -y of l-". there are no seams, and they don't seem to contain anything.

Rarborman takes the food and water out of the container, and throws it at the grate in the wall. It is unharmed, though it is unclear if that is because it is durable, or because it was hit with a rather heavy metal box that had to be thrown straight up into the air.

She then takes a look at the room. The dimensions of the room did not seem to have changed. In the ceiling there was a light fixture that doubled as a panel for a robotic arm. the walls where covered in a slick black paint, and the "north" and "south" walls each had a small, inaccessible vent. in the rough center of the floor there was a pile of five foam pads, with a slightly paint stained note on top. (Zomara had examined it, and was annoyed to find a message that turned out to be the "normal" message in pig latin) next to the pile of foam pads there is a small pile of food and water. At the base of the south wall there is a metal box that had left a very small dent in the floor as  a result of its quick descent. Other then the three captives, there was nothing else in the room.

As if to punctuate this summary, the light powered off, presumably for the night.

These devils! They removed the tags from our flimsy mattresses!

Ex1: Feel around slowly for puffs of air or scents coming from the vents, using my sensitive face. Any noises coming from inside?
Ex2: Feel close to the walls and floor (and ceiling if I can reach it) without touching for any warm, cold, or humming spots.
Act: Dunno what else to do. Too dark to see anything. Get real jumpy.

It is very hard to tell due to the height of the vents, but Leo decides after a while that the "north" vent pumps air into the room, and the "south" vent takes air out. He thinks he can hear a faint humming from the south vent. He feels along as much of the floor and walls that he can, but there are no anomalies except for the unusually warm floor.

Well, I am bored. sleep on the warm ground. use a pad as a pillow.

Zomara sleeps on the pad.
I was going to go into sleep rules at the beginning of next turn, but I might as well now. Each day has three "day" turns and two "night" turns. you can choose to sleep through a single night turn. Sleeping doesn't count as an action; If you do sleep, it's the only thing you can do that turn. Sleeping on a soft item, such as the mattresses, gives you an extra observation the next day. Sleeping on a hard surface or object, such as the bare floor, has no real drawbacks but will probably hurt your back. Not sleeping at all lets you keep the night turn, but you can only do one examination per turn the next day, and you will be generally tired. symptoms may worsen through prolonged sleep deprivation

Rarborman falls asleep on top of Zomara.

End of turn Four.

(remember, Leo, you can still sleep in the second night turn if you want)
Zomara awakens, and is surprised to find Rarborman on top of him. He asses the situation, and unceremoniously pushes her off, waking her up.

I didn't want everyone to be asleep at once. Now that we have a second watch:

Assess why she was sleeping on me.
Examine the room for any changes during the night

use the paper and wet paint on he wall to write a note to write a request for reading materials and leave it on top of the metal box.

Leo assembles THE MEGABED and falls asleep on it.

Zomara asks rarborman why she was sleeping on him. (replying doesn't count as an action or examination, so you can do it without interfering with your turn)
He then feels around the room, apparently he woke up before "morning". He can't notice any difference.

He does his best to write a note, and it should be legible despite being written in pitch darkness. He places it on top of the metal box, which Rarborman had fashioned into a hat.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

End of turn Five

The lights power back on, revealing that nothing has changed during the night. Leo climbs out of THE MEGABED and stretches. The trio feels thirsty and a little hungry.
