You and four other people awaken to find yourselves in a room. the floor is 20 feet by 20 feet, and the ceiling is 60 feet high. the walls, floor, and ceiling are composed of smooth metal, broken only by a 2x2 foot light fixture in the middle of the ceiling. The only thing each of you has is an apparent uniform, composed of: (spoilered for length)

the only other feature in the room is an envelope lying on the center of the floor.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

          Rules
          1) I will begin the game when at least three players have joined.
          2) A maximum of five players may be in the game at any given time. Active players will be sent to the end of the waiting list: after three turns, if they die, or if they go an as of yet undecided amount of time without posting.
          3) The goal of the game is to escape the room.
          4) Active players post what they want to do. These posts are broken into two groups: actions, and examinations.
          5) Actions are anything that involves changing the environment, and may be tasks done continuously.
Example A) throw the stone at the wall
Example B) throw the stone at the wall for twenty minutes
          6) Examinations are anything that involves examining the environment without changing it.
Example: look at the flower to see what type it is
The following is an action, not an examination: dig through the soil to see what's underneath
          7) An active player can take do one action and a maximum of two examinations per turn, but once all players have done an action, the turn is over.
8 )Anything a player does must be physically possible.
9)screw this long rules list, i'm tired.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sleep Rules:
Each day has three "day" turns and two "night" turns. you can choose to sleep through a single night turn. Sleeping doesn't count as an action; If you do sleep, it's the only thing you can do that turn. Sleeping on a soft item, such as the mattresses, gives you an extra observation the next day. Sleeping on a hard surface or object, such as the bare floor, has no real drawbacks but will probably hurt your back. Not sleeping at all lets you keep the night turn, but you can only do one examination per turn the next day, and you will be generally tired. symptoms may worsen through prolonged sleep deprivation

zomara0292 examines himself, and finds that he is perfectly healthy.

The floor appears to be perfectly smooth metal. The only distinguishing feature is the piece of paper in the center, and five 3'x7'x3" foam pads.

He spends a good portion of time feeling along the wall. He finds that every inch within his reach is very smooth, and instead of bare metal, is coated with black paint. He notices that his hands are covered in it.

rarborman looks up at the ceiling. It is impossible to determine if there is anything notable about the actual surface. There is a 2x2 foot fluorescent lamp panel in the center, which covers the room in an orange light.

She proceeds to examine the south wall, or at least the wall opposite zomara's. It's hard to tell directions in this place. The wall is covered in the same black paint, but she happens to notice a ventilation grille 20 feet up. there is one on every wall, but they are hard to detect by just rubbing the wall.

She spends a very long time feeling the floor. Notably, it is warm to the touch even though it's bare metal. After feeling every inch of the floor, moving the paper and the foam pads to do so, she finds nothing else interesting.

Rarborman has two small blisters on her right hand.

End of turn one.

Zomara drags the foam pads towards the center, and stacks them in a pile. he puts the paper on top, and notices some writing on it.

seriously, how have you guys not thought of that yet?

The note reads:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Rarborman takes a closer look at the vents. They are composed of six different 5 inch long by a quarter inch wide slots spread 1 inch apart. These slots are set into the wall itself; there is no vent cover.

She then examines her clothes. According to the tags, they are made of a polyester cotton blend. Her orange jacket has three metal buttons, roughly three-fourths of an inch wide. Her pants have two pockets, currently containing a small amount of lint.

After around three hours, the light panel in the ceiling moves aside. A robotic arm extends downwards, and deposits  a metal container on top of the pile of foam pads. The arm retracts back into the ceiling.

End of turn Two.

Examine my hands and the "paint" on the wall (smell).
Examine all the foam pads for recognizable patterns
Pocket the note for future reference.

Rarborman opens the container. Inside is two paper cups, a gallon jug of water, four apples, and two roast beef sandwiches.

While the arm caught her off guard, preventing her from getting a good look at it, she remembered that it was white, with anywhere from four to eight joints. the manipulator had three "fingers" with two joints each.

Zomara cautiously smells the paint on his hands. It smells slightly sweet.

The foam pads are simply blocks of foam; there is no tag or other identifying mark to be found.

Zomara pockets the note.

End of turn three.

hiatus it is then.

Zomara tastes some of the paint. It tastes about how you'd expect paint to taste.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

It's hard to see from the floor, but he thinks he can make out the rails where the light slides aside to make way for the arm.

The pads are formed of a course foam, dense, but still having decent give.
