Mica calls out,

"No one thank me for making your paths easier, ok?"

before looking around. She winced at her scrapes and scratches, but hopefully they won't decide life or death for her. Hopefully.

((Hey D? The rope would only be 2.4 pounds, thus reducing the DC penalty by two. Still no sucess there, but still has to be said as the weight listed in the resouce for rope is for a 150ft length of it. And B: I'd have about 13 rounds of breath left :P))

Continue swimming to shore, preferably get to the surface first but priority is to get to the coastline.

((@Tar: I went by the inventory weight on your sheet!

Also, as I said to Cript before, turns/rounds are fungible. Normally a round is 6-10 seconds, here we're talking 30 or more-Abbys last round was almost a minute. Reservations must be made for play-by-post. :P))

Damn. Not everyone was as well off here as Richard. He would need to help that man who was struggling so.

Richard floated his way over to the man and tried to help him stay afloat, then he started dragging the man towards the shore.

Act 1, Scene 7

Tail Group
Richard Dockson Jr, Eri Arloest, Rachel Fergusson, Renard Brosac and Ashley Lockman fight against the tides.

[GM evil=6]

The plane finally sinks under the waves-down into the dark...resting on a bed of coral, momentarily disturbing clouds of colorful fish and sea life, who will surely use the hulk as a home for many generations to come.

======================================================================================
Eri Arloest
[Search Check 1+1=2]

Eri begins to search around for something a little more solid, but the others swim off without pause...

She panics. Simple as that.

[Eri 1st Swim Check *Autopass*]
[Luck Roll=1]

(Passed 1/3)

To her dismay, the cushions almost immeditately lose bouyancy-she has to abandon them, and begin kicking desperately toward shore...

[Eri 2nd Swim Check 9+1=10]
[Fighting toward surface 6+1=7]

Eri goes under...

[Eri Drowning! 19+1=20]
[Eri 3rd Swim Check 15+1=16]

(Passed 2/3)

[Eri 2nd Swim Check 20+1=21, Plot Crit!]

(Passed 3/3)

...but her heart is strong. She battles the chill water that would take her life, giving no quarter-vowing it shall not end here. After all, Eri never gives up.

Gained Trait:
Quote from: Never Say Die (Add this to your char sheet under traits)
Every time Eri rolls a natural 1, she can choose to reroll that. This can happen once per turn.

She fights her way to the surface and to the shore beyond, collapsing exhausted into the sand alongside Renard and Richard.

Richard Dockson Jr and Renard Brosac

Dockson tries to get a hold of Renard to keep the waves from ripping him away...

[Dockson STR Check=19+1=20]
[Renard STR Check=13-1=12]

...and he is successful-the cold water shocks Renard awake enough for him not be a complete burden.

[Renard Swim Check *Autopass* x3]
[Dockson Swim Check *Autopass*x3]

While Renard can't do naught but flounder, Dockson pulls them along fine enough...

...

Slow and steady wins the race, and pair collapses on the beach after a time-safe, for now.

Rachel Fergusson and Ashley Lockman

Rachel fights her way to the surface...

(DC 15 Swim +4 for 22 Pd weight carried, DC 19)
[Swim Check 15+7=22, Pass!]

Ashley snags onto her immeditely-there's no time for relief, though...the waves try to drag the women apart.

[Ashley STR Check=16+0=16]
[Rachel STR Check=8+3=11]

The pair slowly makes their way to shore-ending up alongside their friends.

It seems everyone made it out of the sinking plane...now what? Everyone looks around, catching their breath.

[Ashley Spot Check: 15+5=20]
Ashley chances to look back over the wter, and barely sees a familiar Greenish Yellow Light hovering over the wreckage of the plane in an ordered zig zag fashion, as if for searching for something...

~Rest of you Spot Checks~
[Rachel 13+0=13] [Richard 18+0=18] [Renard 15+1=16]
Everyone else doesn't spot the light unless Ashley points it out, but notices there's a trail of plane debris and shredded vegetation in a cone shaped direction right ahead of them, and the storm shows no signs of letting up. There's alot of scrap on the beach as well-and more washing up every minute.

Note, in our case, rounds equal game turns.

Nose Group
Wesley, Travis, Abby O'Brian and Mica disembark from their cancelled flight.

[GM Evil=18]
The Plane falls, crashing into the jungle floor-it's final resting place...hopefully no one was inside. Aside from the poor pilot. His name was Jim, by the way. He was going to retire after this flight.

======================================================================================
Mica

Mica wisely edges away from the intended impact zone of the plane, and continues to snark at those who are still climbing down.

[Mica Catch 16+1=17 vs James Touch AC 12]

To her surprise, the Author James lands in her arms.

"Thanks. My names James O'Brien, by the way. Nice to meet you...?" He says, smiling charmingly.

Carrying James O'Brien

Abby

Abby turns back to her brother to see how he's making his way.

James pauses, trying to negoitate the next part-Mica fell here, and he doesn't know the way down...he decides to jump for it, rather than risk landing his head.

[James Jump Roll: 15+1=16, Pass!]

He lands more or less in Mica's arms, probably on purpose.

...

Abby rolls her eyes, then begins climbing down herself...
[Abby Climb Roll: 14-1=13, Pass!]

She traveses the first part well enough, and decides to follow her brothers example by jumping the last section.

[Abby Jump Roll: 20-1=19, Pass! Plot Crit!]

James calls up to her.

"No hay in sight, sister. Jump down careful, okay?"

She nods, and concentrates on finding a good spot...Abby gulps. She's never liked heights, not since she once fell in a barn loft when she was 7, during a family vacation to a farm in France-courtesy of a rotten beam and a spooking barn owl, she had been hanging for dear life. James had been there-he had heroically piled as much soft hay as he could to break her fall, but it had been a long way down...

Yet, she wasn't harmed at all by the accident-not a single broken bone, not a single bruise. It didn't even hurt afterwards

Either James was really good at stacking hay, or...she was just lucky. Right?

Gained Trait:
Quote from: Innate Minor Feather Fall (Add this to your char sheet under traits)
Every time Abby would suffer a fall that could damage her, her magical heritage momentarily aligns to her will, and she gains the Feather Fall effect for the 10ft. She is mostly unaware of this effect, and to others observing something just seems 'off', but nothing they would claim is out of the ordinary.

Abby springs to the ground easily, almost as if she could walk on air...

Travis and Wesley
Wesley goes first...

[Wesley Climb Roll: 14+2=16, Pass!]
[Wesley Balance Roll: 12+3=15, Pass!]

He makes his way across, and Travis carefully follows.

[Travis Climb Roll: 7-1=6, Pass!]
[Travis Balance Roll: 15+2=17, Pass!]

He loses his stance once, but keeps a good grip on the sheets-avoiding a nasty fall.

...

Both men hear the plane behind them behind to slide. They nod to each other and jump for the vines...

[Wesley Climb Roll: 5+2=7, FAIL!]
[Wesley Reflex Check: 9+1=10, FAIL!]
[Wesley Jump Roll, mitigate fall: 17+0=17, pass!]
[Damage 1d6=2]

Wesley flails, missing completely. He falls, but manages to right himself more or less...

The Doctor smacks into the muddy ground with a nasty plop. He feels a bit woozy. (2 NL Damage taken)

[Travis Climb Roll: 15-1=14, Pass!]
[Travis Climb Roll: 13-1=12, Pass! *Due to GM error :P*]

Travis takes an easier route down, and shows everyone up with a momentary display of the apt climbing skills he often uses to covertly escape from second story windows, of the homes of angry husbands and secretly pleased wives.

...

The group edges away to cover, as the plane crashes to it's resting place-crumpling like a tin can and sending debris and gear flying everywhere.

James speaks up first. "Eh...now what? Are we going to find the others?" He asks, pointing to the path of destruction leading back to the beach.

Wesley stumbled a bit grabbing onto the trunk of a large jungle tree, before standing himself back up, his vision fades for a bit and he feels a bit lightheaded but eventually everything returns to normal, or as normal as it can be standing in a Malaysian jungle after jumping out of a plane wreck.  He looked up at the rest of the group.

"Uh.. weren't there.. more people?"

"Okay so now that we aren't going to drown, and it is oh so lovely out here would someone mind patching up the tiny scratch on my leg?" Renard said as he looked up and looked around at those nearby before letting his head fall back onto the sand. He let out a sigh and though, "I really wish I had tracked that fucker Larson down and dragged him along on this thing."

Ashley pointed angrily at the floating light that was hovering over the floating wreckage.

"Look! It's the damn thing that made us crash in the first place! Everybody hide, before it sees us! We can ambush the damn thing or let it pass when it's done searching!"

Help Renard into the cover of the trees and lay flat in some undercover and watch the light carefully.

[? ? ? Listen Check 10+12-9=13]

The figure immedately stops moving when Ashley speaks and gestures toward it-the Foo 'turns' it's glow toward her. Ashley can almost see it performing an 'oh shit' gesture and displaying a tiny scowl, as the light winks out completely.

By the time everyone turns around to what she's point at, there's nothing to be seen there. Which makes Ashley seem like she sustained some sort of head injury during the crash...
