Dariush Serial Killer (Poisoner):
You are a member of a violent anti-cult order of assassins. One of their best fighters, it was you that was selected to eradicate any last vestige of this Guise of the Keeper group. You carry with you the knowledge of how to completely destroy the Crown, no matter what foul god has created it. You know of its fearsome power- it will work its way into the mind of anyone near it. No, sealing it away is not good enough- it must be destroyed, and now. All the other people you are with must be eliminated as well; they could already be under its influence.
You don’t care who has taken the Crown- you just know it must be found so you can destroy it. Thankfully, you are a master Warrior who has also brought along strong poison magic, so you should have no trouble eliminating everyone else.

Mr. Dwarfinton Serial Killer (Killer):
Everyone thinks you are a noble paladin. They couldn’t be more wrong.
You are the last surviving leader of the Guise of the Keeper. You managed to escape the purge years back, and instead infiltrated the city holy orders. You acted as a good and faithful servant of the local gods, but instead were biding your time as to when you could locate the Crown and start anew. You even had trained an apprentice in your dark ways. Sadly, this proved to be a mistake.
The apprentice was filled with more bravery than brains, and took it upon himself to make a sacrifice to the Keeper. You’re sure it was appreciated, but the fool left the Mark on the wall. Your cover was secure, but your secrecy was gone. Fate, however, played into your hand. You had been unable to locate the Crown in the catacombs yourself, given its hidden location (even from you- the old Master had hidden it) and maze-like properties of the catacomb. Now, however, the Captain of the Guard himself had asked you to go with the group to find the Crown.
You had no trouble setting off a magical trap to kill the guide and hide the Crown. All that was left was to kill everyone else, recover the Crown, and flee to another city to restart the Guise. The power of the Keeper was almost yours, and you were ready to spill blood to keep it.

You don’t really give a rat’s ass about cults or dark gods or evil artifacts- you have bigger fish to fry.
You have been following Scelly9 for days now, trying to figure out what to do with him. You were in the streets performing a ritual to St. Arbelai, the patron saint at your temple. The culmination of that ritual is the miracle summoning of a spirit of power into your body. Through a freak accident, Scelly9 walked right into you, and the spirit entered him. The bloody fool didn’t even notice.
The trouble is the spirit will stay there until his death, and you can’t just summon another one. You can’t kill him, either- killing someone with the spirit would see you smited on the spot. No, you need to be there right at the second of his death, and the right phrase just then will set the spirit to you. Once it is in you, you’ve got a Rune of Return that will zap you right out of this place. Should he die out of your sight, though, you’ll have to do the ritual again- and surely will no one let you do that until the danger is passed.
