Well I've changed all the announcements that I think show up, Im pretty sure a bunch of them dont even show in the current versions, but i should have raw changes made today and ill have a new download today.

Alright in terms of naming things, I'm not sure what to do. Originally I was doing things as such:

Monarch-Premier
General-General Armii
Soldier-Soldat
Lieutenant-Lyeitenant
Captain-Kapitan
Militia Commander-Militsiya Komandir
Milita Dwarf-militsioner
Militia Captain-Militsii Kapitan
Sheriff-Sherif
Captain of the Guard-Kapitan Strazhi
Fortress Guards-Forpost Okhrannik
Expedition Leader-Rukovoditel Ekspeditsii
Mayor-Predsedatel
Manager-Menedzher
Chief Medical Dwarf-Saninspektor
Bookkeeper-Bukhgalter
Outpost Liaison-Torgovlya Ofitser
Baron-Tretya Premera
Count-Vtoraya Premera
Duke-Pervyi Premera

But I don't know if people would actually want something like that, and I should just stick to English versions of the names.

Otherwise I was thinking of going for a more dystopian naming system such as:
Monarch-PRM0
Duke-PRM1
Count-PRM2
Baron-PRM3
Mayor-CHA
Expedition Leader-EXL

Or something like that.

I think instead of renaming nobles, make new ones.

Like Commissar (or however you spell that militay leader thing)
and maybe the Captain of the guard / sherif are 1 noble, that also has a 200 squad size for "conscriptions"
maybe Miltary Police or Head of enlistment and justice?

Manager and Bookkeep could be one noble
Stock Holder? Union leader?

Since Barons,Counts,Dukes seem to replace each other, maybe they can double as a military squad? or executioner? And each upgrade is like going up the army ladder?

Just some suggestions.

Yeah those are good ideas, the barron-count-duke things is why I named them 3rd premier, 2nd premier, 1st premier, and then premier similar to say lieutenant ranking.
But mainly my question was in terms of how I name them, and whether I should do russian phonetics, as such, or make some sort of dystopian tagging system.

Well I've never made it past a baron so I have no idea about that stuff anyways. But yeah I'll think about what to do with the rankings.

These are what the positions look like right now. They're pretty straight forward in a way though I might expand the limit to 4 or 5 characters. NKVD needed the whole 4 letters.

Hopefully late game we players will bring the old weapons of war to bear against the capitalist pig-dogs. Perhaps have the Ak 47 be a Artifact weapon? or some other weapons like that. but also, PTW

Yeah, several mods use dozens of weapon types that no civ can create, so moods are only way to obtain them.And since you change announcements you could replace artifact creation message with "tovarysh Urist has recreated an ancient <itemname>!"

And about position names, from absence of grammar cases and inverted word order I can conclude you don't speak soviet:
Militia Commander-Komandir Militsii
Militia Captain-Militsii Kapitan
Captain of the Guard-Kapitan Strazhi
Fortress Guards- Okhrannik Forposta
Expedition Leader-Rukovoditel Ekspeditsii
Bookkeeper-Bukhgalter

Leader of army was called marshal.
Milicioner and capitan militcii actually maintained public order so they should replace fortress guards.
There were no sheriffs in soviet union, in small settlements milycya was represented by uchastkoviy (militcioner).
There weren't mayors back then, city well being was maintained by predsedatel ispolnitelnoy comissii but moral raising function was performed by zampolit.

Oh believe me, I don't really speak russian at all, always tried to learn for a while, but just never get to it. Not exactly something that's easy to get to in America, it's all SPANISHFRENCHGERMAN ANDLOLOLOLOL DONT FORGET THE JAPANESE FOR THE WEEABOOS. Rosetta stone for russian doesn't really do as good of a job as their other languages either.

So basically I tried to get what I could out of the wikipedia pages and google translator which I know is terrible. Some words I had to use like completely different phrases/words to get something closer than what the direct translation was giving me. I also realize that yes, back then the whole level of government in general was really a big mess and just a bunch of IM THE LEADER, BUT IM ALSO IN CHARGE OF EVERYTHING FIVE STEPS DOWN THE LADDER, and a lot of weird overlay as such. So I kinda just used the chairman position for capital leader as that kinda looked right, because they didn't have a mayor of say moscow until 1992. I'm not sure I'm going to go with the english phonetics of russian words anyways because it might just be too confusing for some people, and some of the words are just way too long to properly fit in some menus without getting cut off. Either way I'm also kinda reworking how many positions the SOVIET KREMLIN will have instead of just renaming things, as per the suggestions above and whatever else I think of. Currently I've also just made sheriffs - commissars, captain of the guards - military commissars, and hammerers - NKVD. I should be doing these today and I'll probably have a proper list of what I have for positions then.

I did see Georgy Zhukov too by coincidence when making champions heroes of the soviet union because he's one of 2 to receive 4 of that medal.

As for barons and so on, you could combine them all into one position called director (as for more civilian facilities), chairman (as leader of party) or base commander (komandir bazy) for militarized objects.

I mean that there's a champion noble, and I was going to change it from champion to hero of the soviet union.
