2nd of Hematite:
Traders keep bothering me! I got things to do you know!

12th of Hematite:
Digging water channels. A great way to weed out stupid things. We are up to two dead babies allready! Ehehee, how terrible. Truely saddening. heeehe...

I have also gotten word of a zombie hand on top of a tree that scouted some more ambushing inaba.

Nother one of these idiots. Just ignore him...
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

20th of Hematite:
I finaly got tired of the traders incessantely trying to sell me wooden garbage, ans so I ordered some nearby garbage and a few bins of garbage to the depot.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Turns out there was a bucket in that garbage. An imported, wooden bucket. God I hate hippies. I seized everything remotely useful, and a few useless things just to spite them.

Now I gotta get rid of this garbage some other way...

3rd of Malachite:
The inaba buggered off, yet another anticlimactic, sorry attempt at invasion, leaving only more blood and gore to decorate defile the landscape.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

dontremember of Malachite:
Ooh a zombie in the fort. Its been a while! What nameless peasant is it this time?

Ah, its not a nameless zombie. Its nekorex. What is that idiot doing being a zombie, and... well he found Highzealot. Heh. Looks painfull.

Zombie put down and dropped down in the great pit of dead shit, zealot moved to the hospital.

Broken knee, bruised liver, and... why is the idiot smiling?

Quote
Notice to all Idiots:

A reminder: Dying stupidly is not allowed. (babies are exempt)

That includes jumping in a channel full of water your digging.

Your loving and caring master,

Grimlocke.

19th of Malachite:
More flock to my rule! Well only 6, but still. Population is now at 45.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Hope you like dead shit!

And a less welcome migrant... sure, join the others...
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

23rd of Malachite:
Ahaaa.

Thats mine. I did point him to the inaba bones after all. Entirely justified.

10th of Galena:
I want it to be known to posterity: That cloak was entirely worth the effort.

Why on earth was that door even open? Actualy, why was it even there for like... 8 years since I had it built on my last reign?

So yeah, I went there. I needed that cloak. All great people have cloaks. And it happened to be in the trench I dug all those years back.

And it wouldnt have been a problem if the only bit of the military that showed up was... well...

Classy as ever.

I must hand it to the man, he provided an excellent oppertunity for his great leader to return to safety! Right before passing out. He just lay there for a while, waiting for someone to prioritize his life over stockingpiling work. And sat there. And the zombie a mere few meters away also sat there. Untill finaly stuffman ran out of excuses, got in the trench, grabbed Pirate, promtely panicked and stormed past the exit Pirate and all.

Took a while for the screaming to stop.

Which marks the end of Summer, I will need an extension for the other 2 seaons.

"So you see, my ex-overseer. I really need that cloak. I mean, it's sassy, sweet and it's literally begging for me to have it."

Pirate glanced at the direction that Grimlocke was pointing to. There it was, a slightly worn piece of cloth that was half covered in blue slime. Surrounded by zombies. He then gave the overseer an incredulous look.

"You want me to go down there and get it."

"Ah, no, that won't be necessary. I just want you to go over and secure my escape once I have retrieved that beautiful little thing," Grimlocke clasped his hands together and smiled, "you'll do it right? Because you can't say no."

"Well, before we do that, I'd like to tell you something."

"Hm?"

"I drank your secret stockpile of booze, and them I pissed in the barrels."

Saying this, he turned around and entered the door. He needn't see the expression on Grimlocke; just saying it was enough to make him feel better.

10th of Limestone

Human traders arrive, biokurri arive, a bit like this:

            One                              Two                              Three                              Four

17th of Limestone

Stuffman came back today, and instantly mudered a chen without even saying hello. Annoyingly, he brought some friends from the trench.

It was taken care of without losses, likely one of those pesky ghosts sabotaged the lock on the door. Im having that walled off now, the rest of the clothes there wernt much good anyway.

Realy ought to get around to making slabs. Wish I could just murder the damn ghosts instead. Theres certain... people I wouldnt mind murdering twice. Or more.

Quote from: A wall poster:
News: Grimlocke has bravely put down a violent criminal!

Upon receiving news of the man by the name of Erith V, who had commited crimes against our mayor, our
leader chose to personally confront him about his actions (and lack thereof!). Sadly, Erith was not open to
discussion. He quickly became violent, and was slain as our leader was forced to defend himself.

Let this be a lessen that orders, and the Suikan justice system are not to be doubted! Our moral foundation

and with that said, I trust there will be no such further incedents!

27th of Limestone

Doors. She has the power of mayor, only second to me own, and what does she order? Doors. Of any material, quality and decoration at all.

It is good that I am here...

2nd of Sandstone

It turns out that leaving a cage full of starving animals in the middle of the entrance hall is not such a great idea. Who would have thought.

Though it would have only been a trivial problem, had people properly and efficientely followed my orders!

But noooo we must all drink and zombie yak infestation be damned. Military? drinking. Corpse haulers? eating. Drafted farmers? Pickup equipement!
Why do I allways get into trouble with stinking hairy cow zombies?? There have been 4 of those things dying and undying before any of these slobs gets around to disposing of them. I refuse to go down in history as a leader who was repeatedly defeated by lifestock!

As soon as these subside Im deporting every single herbivore to the graveyard.

Oh and we are also invaded by a giant snowball. Oh woe is us. It undulates...
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

5nd of Sandstone
Dead! All dead! Hahaahahahaa... ha.... somehow its not so glorious winning from animals. Still, all animals likely to randomly die and undie are now in the graveyard where they just randomly die without undying.

I have also built a butchery and tannery there, and am contemplating putting a prison there just because its becoming a mighty... nasty sight there. Scotty has been asking around for bones, wont tell me what he wants with that and I dont frankly care much, was going to butcher some stuff anyways.

(no date)
Scotties... product:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Why make frivolous trinkets when you can make me a throne?

(doodles. Crappy doodles. Grimlocke is not great artist thats for sure)

30th of Sandstone

And so the month ends. And nothing happened... Well beside getting actual work done that is.

1st of Moonstone

Someone has been hiding things! Naughty things!

I uncovered a hidden spike training room, getting in the way of my constructions. Figured that was dismanteled, clearly not.

Still, judging from the state of the military it hasnt seen much use lately...

25th of Moonstone

No murder, no zombies, no invasions and no madness and insanity. Oh well. Ill just write about some construction work:

We are expanding the graveyard I designed in my first reign, digging upwards, next to the hospital. I dont care about 'purpose'. Graveyard are cool.

Work in the new farming area will soon be complete, we are just working on the final touches as well as on a way to let sunlight into the dark underground, allowing us to grow a greater variety booze for me to drink. Oh yeah and food.

And of course my much improved dwellings! No more shit going on with my booze stock, hah!

10th of Opal

Animals keep going missing for some reason. Possibly related to me removing the pasture, and not yet making any new one... or they could just be stupid.

Better have the military scour the fortress for corpses.

20th of Opal

The farm is finished at last:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

1st of Obsidian

Last month of the year! Everything going smoothly, projects finishing in time, no external sources of trouble at all. Marvelous.

6th of Obsidian

Behold, mindless reader:

The expanded graveyard, coffins have yet to be installed.

And quarters to match my brilliance! Solid lead walls, floors and furniture, silver floor decorations, various artifacts and of course, Pirates little scheme put to good use!

In other news, one of the surgeons has apparentelly been posessed. That cant end well.

20th of Obsidian

It ended well.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

31st of Obsidian

(in very sloppy writing)
Oh shit shit shit. I wont be blamed for this! Writing this as I run back to my quarters and im sure as hell not coming out till this is over, let em sort this out themselves!

End of journal. Mere days before the end of Grimlockes terrible reign, the fortress unexpectedly attacked by several squads of biokkuri. Dispite the widespread panic and disorder, Grimlocke was nowhere to be found.

...

Well, I screwed up pretty bad at the end. Was busy finishing stuff up, and with hunting down a small plague of biokkuri thieves (which could apparetely walk in unnoticed).

Im not sure if this is still salvagable, there is about 6 in the fortress, and another 6 or so sitting at the start of a tunnel doing nothing, yet.

Still, heres the save. Up to you guys what to do next: http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=7103

Somewhere in the warp

Well, whatever plan that the Chaos Gods used me for has been set in motion and now they no longer need me. At least they've given me one last time to return to the fortress. I shall now diminish to the old dwarf in an oni like I once was. So, how are things doing.

*Takes a glance*

Well, things sure have changed into a blood and rot filled mess full of chaos. I think I'll manage thing from here before I take residence since I would rather not die as soon as I return.

1st Granite 116

We're about to lose another Suika to the enemy and I only just arrived. Things do not seem to look good at all. To be more accurate, things are looking horrible at the moment. I see no way to rid ourselves of our foes at the moment and we may as well consider ourselves dead.

2nd Granite 116

The enemy is running around the fortress unopposed. The survivors are to make for the gate where we can gather in force. Spears shall be shaken, shields shall be splinted, a sword day, a red day, ere the sun rises. Arise Suikas and hold the line.

3rd Granite 116

We're down to 25 still alive. We need to start moving corpses toward the east where they won't become undead.

5th Granite 116

The fortress is filled with the undead. Chances of survival are low. We need to turtle somewhere but where? How will we even manage to gather up food so we can hide for long periods of time with all the undead wandering around?

6th Granite 116

Impossible. The undead cannot be stopped at this rate. Maybe it was once controllable but not anymore. Of course, this doesn't mean we cannot survive but we'll see in time.

7th Granite 116

Well, looks like someone has decided to take residence in the Shrine of Chaos.

13th Granite 116

7 left. The kappa should be thankful they don't have to enter the depths of the fortress and face the undead. They should survive and would not even suspect we have been overrun.

18th Granite 116

Only one able oni is left. She is quite ecstatic and also safe from the undead. However, she must gather plants and create drinks by herself. If she does not get lucky, she will die regardless and then we will have failed.

19th Granite 116

I have no choice, I shall take the body of the last survivor and once again, become the dwarf within an oni. It should be painless as her soul is driven out while she's asleep. Maybe she'll go to a better place though if she should be fine no matter where she goes considering she was ecstatic.

23rd Granite 116

First plant gathered, quarry bush. It could have been useful if I had bags but unfortunately, it is useless without the proper tools.

28th Granite 116

Damn dimple cup. Can't I just get some useful plants when I need them? So hungry and thirsty right now.

6th Slate 116

YES! I found a plump helmet. Now, with this single plant, chance of survival has increased by quite a lot.

7th Slate 116

Cave rice. NICE! Things are looking good for me.

10th Slate 116

Maid Xan's head is still a fighter after all these years. I'll write some more once I finish some important work.

15th Slate 116

Thankfully, there was wood left where I could reach it which I used to create a training axe to cut some trees down.

18th Slate 116

Built a bed today and I'm surrounded by ghosts. They has to be at least 4 and that number is sure to rise. Hopefully, I won't get deadly ghosts.

27th Slate 116

Migrants have arrived. Let us see if they will survive or die.

3rd Felsite 116

They're dead.

9th Felsite 116

HOW THE HELL DID YOU GET IN HERE! Shit. This makes no sense. They is no way it could have got it here. Well, I just might be screwed.

(OOC: Also, stupid Suika refuses to do jobs and just stays with no jobs for no reason!)

This is all that was found in the journal of HighZealot found near the ruins of CrossedHorns

OOC from here on out

First of all, how the hell did that zombie get in my safe spot? There was no openings or any corpses there for it to have come from.
Second of all, Grimlocke, THE HELL DID YOU DO? BY THE EMPEROR, HOW DID THINGS GET THIS MESSED UP?
Well, everyone died and then I died when things were both looking good and bad. Bad since the Suika had “no job” despite her having jobs needed to do. I suspect something in character details causing her to not want to work since she did do work after have “no job” for a decent amount of time.

Save

So, we can reclaim or rollback to a past save. If we rollback, I recommend we DON'T use Grimlocke's save and go to the one before that.

/edit I have a strange feeling I wrote the wrong year not that it affects anything really.

Well, this seems to fall at an odd time. I'm getting swamped here with life and teaching.... yet... I still have my sense of duty to fulfill.... I can't let the fort down. So I will attempt to do a run despite my current situation (My code of honor tells me I should)
I'm currently need to debate over which path to take though.... Reclaim, Grimlocke's save or roll back to the save before that (Pirate's).

I'll decide on this in a bit. I need to get things organized...

Also I will have till Thursday 1 AM to complete this...

Well, crap. Sorry bout the mess heheh.

It actualy messed u realy quickly. First half the military went insane for no particular reason, then the other half failed to killed a bunch of thieves, and then a bunch of biokurri walked in while I was still busy getting corpses hauled.
