exchanging the recent save link with the one valrandir posted. Ill prolly be putting the saves together with this package valrandir keeps posting from now on so he doesn't have to. thanks for the pack valrandir.

also, Ill be PMing this package to scientist. just to be sure.

also, (again) tacking myself to the end of the list. I want to have a shot at fixing this mess. but seeing as we have several other players before then, well...

Okay, I'll start playing tonight if I have time, which I probably will. My primary goal will be to survive at all costs. My secondary goal will be to understand the inner workings of the fort. My tertiary goal will be to establish a basic military, and my quaternary goal will be to build a supreme dining room, drowning chamber, or something of that ilk.

If you'd like you could switch with my slot. I've got a much shorter time between turns than you have.
Looking forward to updates +!!scientists!!+ !

"Point 11" :)
Interesting.

Since you are a self-proclaimed scientist, would you please have a look at the water tower? It is lacking power and needs another array of windmills or two.

Execution lever. There is a room nearby. If you get goblins in it, I think by tossing them in the top, you can pull the lever and watch them drown. Will be ever better once we can get the equipment from the bottom.

There is a slight chance that using it will flood the fort, so just look over the consituent parts to see if its running smoothly.

There is also a lever somewhere for killing nobles, not sure if it is labeled. It also probably won't work with the waterfall turned off.

I'll try to go faster, I just don't know what to do.
anyway, an important update (for once):

2nd Slate, 43:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

((if you want to skip my turn, that's probably for the best, I haven't ever ran a fort quite like this and really don't have a clue what to do, I feel like the best I could do is probably not die, and that's pushing the boundries of my skill, this is also not helped by the fact that I haven't played DF in a while. (the last time I really played was just after I asked for a turn in this) So yeah, I wouldn't mind giving somebody else the turn.))

its perfectly fine, if we have a good reason to skip you, we will. for now though, you've given updates and are still around. thats the best part of succession games, when your turn comes around, things are so messed up that you really have no idea where to start and !!FUN!! ensues.

also, Ill put you on the list valrandir.

edit; If I may throw an idea out there, you could create a great library. its actually something I wanted to do in the first turn so that I could adhere to the story I laid out for my character, but I never did it... still though, it would make a big chamber of engravings to look at.
