That is where intellectual honesty and rational thought should come in though. If your position cant be defended, then just maybe its a position worth changing.

This doesnt meant that you have to be okay with it or celebrate it, it can still bug you but it should be reason enough to be tolerant and acknowledge that there nothing wrong with it.

There a very simple method for not dicussing something you dont want to discuss, and that is not to bring it up.

By doing so, then not wanting to speak about it further is just a cowardly means to interject your point

What everyone's doing right now is
a) Trying to goad him into a debate he's already refused.
b) Circlejerking about how he "lost" the last time the subject was brought up.

I don't get why people here feel the need to basically go "Oh, not this guy again" every time someone with a known unpopular viewpoint posts in a relevant thread. It's no wonder most of our politics discussions are one-sided: people only make the mistake of speaking against the majority one time, because once they have their name is dragged through the mud every time they mention it afterwards.

I'm sorry if I contributed to this. People just have deeply held values, something I do understand, even if they offend you, and almost always you're not going to change them by arguing on the Internet.

ggamer is a cool guy who is not liberal. That's how it's going to be and, while everyone's free to voice their opinions, it's not really doing anything except making you feel better by ragging on the one non-majority opinion.

Often debates on these topics aren't strictly about 'winning' but for the fence sitters, the lurkers. ggamer may very well be stuck in his archaic unsubstantiated views and unable or unwilling to drop them, buts not really about him.
