I didn't make one yet, I probably won't have one this week :(  Had a hard time thinking up ideas.

No wait I just came up with one just now XD  Oh man, lol.

Not gonna happen this week, too much to do and too much time already spent procrastinating.

Not sure if you're being ironic in some weird internet fad way. Especially after all the fuzz about that new XCOM game that was just released.

But X-Com is a series of games, considered by many amongst the best games ever made. Myself included.

Moby Games on the X-Com series.

I can still heartily recommend the first two games, anyone who can play DF should be able to look beyond the aging graphics and interface.

They are all on Steam, btw.

I dont know what X-Com is.
Then you're in for a treat. Get the first one (the only one that matters), and start playing. See you in a few months.

Yeah... I'm skipping out on the X-Com thing too :X  Not saying anything bad about the series, but it's just not interesting me.  Can't afford the time or money to play the games either D:

I'd say that not having played the first one puts you in a good position to enjoy the new one that just came out. You know, without constantly comparing it to your nostalgia-drenched memories of the first game, like most people are doing. I hear it's pretty okay. By which I mean that it's a remake of X-COM, for crying out loud, and I've heard surprisingly few people angrily ranting about how terrible it is. :P

the only problem with  that is I don't know anything about D&D, other than it involves a GM :P

Dwarves passing by get good thoughts from the mist of water and exploding felines.
Anyone of the equivalent to the royal bloodline in a nomadic group would have a sun tattooed on their hand, or a scrotum on their forehead (it's a little-known fact that fraternities are based off of long-forgotten tribes).

There are lots of random character generators for D&D online.

If you can't find one you can use than just go to the D&D wiki and look through races until you find one you like.
