I hate hardsuits with a fiery passion. Not because they're hard to kill and dish out death in generous quantities, it's because every single time I can afford one, I get one and I will not be able to deploy it because somehow I will die even quicker than normally.

EVERY.
SINGLE.
FUCKING.
TIME.

I stand there in the open, holding the mouse down waiting for the goodness to arrive, but the freaking timer keeps resetting untill i get killed by a random someone who just happened to be passing by.

I am seeing a HUGE increase in the number of aimbots and perpetual HRV today. I hope they are able to deal with it before it becomes another Combat Arms.

Hopefully. Sofar I've only encountered one aimbotter and it was so obvious that he did that everyone reported and vote kicked him

Can the weak point of a hardsuit be the center cockpit part? I got in 2 firefights with other hardsuits today, but I ended up quickly blowing up despite my suit being new and both me and the enemy spamming minigun and railgun together. I suspect they were shooting my weakpoint, which is impossible to find without climbing out of the suit.

Also I confirm that BAR and holo sight = great. Burstfire rifle is also very very good.

Am I the only one who finds depot weapons a bit underwhelming? I usually get killed before using them. The grenade launcher was bad because the frenades don't blow up wen they hit the ground, the antipersonnel rocket takes too long to spread the explosions, and I don't know about the minigun. The flamethrower is very funny to mess around with so it's okay. Hardsuit is most definitely the best choice, even vs. other hardsuits, but there's ALWAYS an enemy guy waiting around a corner to kill you as soon as your character picks up the controller so you waste the points and never kills you during the actual purchase.

In regards to getting killed right after purchasing a hardsuit.....if I see an enemy at a purchase terminal I don't shoot him but instead drop a mine about a foot behind him and then leave the area, usually laughing as I go.

I usually forget to buy a hard suit, even more so now that I'm out of the noob zone, as they're extraordinarily underwhelming against experienced players. Still, when I do, I always run my HVR before attempting to deploy it to check for people sneaking up on me, and run my HVR dry just before getting in it to see where my team is and where the enemy is. After that, stick around infantry teammates and you'll do great - Just be sure to return the favor when you see another hard suit, as a properly supported hard suit is walking death.

I recently got a burst fire rifle after several matches of coming out with insane K/D ratios upon renting it. Usually in the range of 4 kills for every 1 death. I threw an extended clip on it and never had to reload during a fire fight. Pure awesome, right there.

I've also found anything that detracts from your range isn't that much of a penalty with most guns. Sure, you can't damage the guy camping on the other side of the map, but since he's so far away you'd be danged if you hit him before he healed anyways. More damage and less recoil, on the other hand, are almost always worth it.

Yep, range is pretty much pointless on most of the maps anyhow. The only case where it would matter is with a BAR that has high enough damage to 1HKO enemies.

Incidentally, if anyone doesn't know yet, don't bother buying the TSMG chance pack. Not least because they made the HAR available for normal purchase and will likely do the same for the TSMG eventually.

TSMGs are what are known as Personal Defence Weapons (like P90s, etc.)in other places, right? Something like a cross between an AR and a SMG (fires rifle ammo instead of pistol but is still very short)

This game is interesting. I have to play it on the family computer because mine is too old (no shader 3). I bought a better video card for it a long time ago, but I couldn't get it to work with Windows XP SP3. Card installed and OS reinstalled to SP2? Fine. Updated to SP3? Bluescreen on boot.

I decided to try the light machine gun receiver. Scoping/aiming down sights is pretty much required, otherwise, the recoil goes nuts.

Also I'm too high level to play in proving grounds rooms. Now I have to play with actual skilled people. :'( :'( :'(

I am using the LMG with parts that reduce recoil and spread and my damage is 60. 3 bullets = death and it works wonders when the enemy is stacked up. Crouch, aim and spray FTW!

Isn't that what a LMG is designed for? Set up a shot, mow some guys down, move to a new location.

More like, Check HRV if they're close enough, jump corner, crouch and spray.
I've just ran around with the premade lmg, point defense(?) or what its called, goes very well with it.

Yeah, it sucks when you get to that point. You start getting into games where it's 8 pros against 7 noobs, and scratch your head a bit at the odd match making system.

The scoring system also seems a bit off; it doesn't automatically value objective-points higher than kill-points in non-TDM gametypes like practically every FPS. For some reason I would think that someone with 4 flag caps contributed more to victory than the person who sat in the back with a BAR and HRV-disruptor for the whole match.

By out in the open do you mean outside? As I was having that problem until someone mentioned that you can only deploy hardsuits outside.
