Im loving this game after a few hours of playtime ( in game name Herojuana ) however im skull f**ked at all the gear, ive just stuck a premade LMG and all the heavy armour on and I seem to be doing ok (by my standards).

Ive never been goog at judging gear etc so  I just cant understand all the diff parts and im not sure if the armour is worth buying perm ?

however its a great pickup and play fps and the fact its free is even better :)

I kinda suck at this, to many potential avenues to get shot from compared to several years back when I was consistently playing FPS multiplayers, but I'm slowly improving. Using a premade light machine gun and usually earn around 140-180.

I have noticed some odd patterns. I earn from 150-250GP per round. I once earned 6400+Exp from a round. None of that is weird, but then I noticed:

If my team wins, I am almost always in the top 4. If my team loses I am almost always #1. Strange. BTW, I don't play for kills, I try to work as a team to complete objectives.

If you play at a relatively stable level, then your ranking doesnt show how good you are playing. It rather shows how good your team is in relation to your skill level. And obviously if your team is good then you win.

Being 4th means 3 people are better than you.
Being 1st means you are the best your team has.

Obviously the points system itself has its faults on who is "the best", but it works to a certain extent.

This is one of my main complaints with the game: the maps feel too "open", in the sense that positions are too interconnected and there are far too many lines of fire from any given position. I can think of quite a few spots where I can see/hit targets in more than a third of the map, and a lot of the objective locations have 4+ entrances. It speeds up the gameplay at the expense of tactical thinking; the HRV would seem to support the conclusion that this was intentional. It isn't entirely a bad thing, but taking pains to make gameplay more about W + M1 and less about knowing how to use your weapons and the map to your advantage isn't the most appealing of design strategies, either. That said, it is different (and free!), and is fairly fun, so I'm not about to stop playing.

DAYYYUUUMM
The premade incendiary SMG is ridiculous. That being said, I prefer using a 70 damage 3rburst. 1 burst kill FTW!

I don't know whether to call it bull or bloody brilliant but I just got out of a game where half the opposing team used only melee weapons. And they still won by a good margin.

With or without cloak?

Without cloaks for the most part as far as I could tell. Granted it was that hanger map where the line of sight is fairly short (for this game at least) and there's lots of stuff to jump down from.

hammer + cloak is rage inducing. They need to balance the time between de-cloak and melee attack as right now it's instant and that means broken. I can't save a buddy when I see someone appear behind them.

I think drastically reduced move speed would be good, and it takes a second or two after coming out of cloak for your speed to pick back up.  Would make you good for taking out a pesky sniper or riling up a fortification, but not so much for running into a group of 6 people, backstabbing two, and sprinting away laughing while re-cloaking.

agreed. Any solution, even a temporary stopgap would be greatly appreciated. Although I suspect some would like for SMGs to be nerfed as well.

Honestly, melee builds are a bit overpowered even without cloak. I've just put together one with absurd run speed and stamina, using nothing but the machete, and I still go positive even on fairly open maps.

Also: Servers down AGAIN? Damn it.

Dang, servers went down when I was tearing some dude to shreds. He was using one of those annoying riot shields, but didn't kill me once.

Grenades + Rifle Butt = Dead Riot Shielder.

I also finally figured out the dang iron sights. The bullets don't travel to the tip of the guide, they travel to the middle of the circle, just above the guide. I'm suddenly doing good again now that I can actually hit stuff.
