You can even do it in game! (By pressing T).

Not only that, you even get points for it! Only 8 though, which isn't really worth exposing yourself. I don't know if the bonus goes up if you taunt after a kill.

I wasn't aware that taunting actually gave you points, have to wag a finger more then.

P.S., I'm Virex in game, playing on EU servers.

Ah, I think I recall playing on the same game with you earlier today.

You get more points for longer taunts.

Fixed.  Thanks for pointing it out.

I'll be looking for someone wagging his finger aimlessly then. Preferably through a scope :P

I think someone else already said this, but... Bolt Action rifles with holo scopes are droolworthy.

Yeah, suddenly they don't suck in CQC. It's harder to get long-range shots with them, but those opportunities come up less frequently than people trying to shoot your face off.

For those in total indecision about what to buy with precious GP, I thought this thread was pretty helpful (Mainly post #5 and post #9): http://blacklight-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=366161

I've saved up quite a bit and I'm still using the default gun.  It's pretty good.  Also, if you have a gun tag that gives to +2 health it's a pretty big advantage.  I usually survive with 2/202 health left after some 1v1 encounters because the other guy's gun was doing 50 dmg a shot and so that little bit saves me every time.

Yeah, I got the ++Health tag for my first one. I haven't bought much, just the bolt action and burstfire rifle frames. Probably going to skim by until I get to the level needed for the second holo sight (unless it is crap--is it?). The B-FR is surprisingly good in CQC, provided you aren't lagging. I just set mine up with the lowest possible spread and recoil.

Been playing more recently, and I have to say:

Is anyone else noticing balance issues with the Machete and Breach Hammer?
In at least two separate games, I've noticed people running around with cloak on, walking up behind people and one-shotting them with Machetes. When they do it with the hammer it's worse, because then you can't even use a revival injector. It seems like the increased range is the killer app on these weapons, which makes them an easy target for cheap builds.

Possible imbalance aside, the default gun has started to grow on me. I now leave one of my loadouts unmodified, because I find the basic assault rifle is versatile on all maps and all gamemodes.

Eh, and commandoknifing was overused in every CoD game that had the perk. It's annoying, but not particularly gamebreaking.

If anyone hasn't already figured it out, Netwar is by far the most reliable way to earn XP; sitting on a CP defending it for the entire game will usually get you 3.5-4k XP even if you only get a few kills (though I tend to pick up a lot of assists from getting partials on long range targets). On a related note, the map Offshore? Those little gaps between the metal plates don't actually block shots like a lot of games would train you to believe; with a good scope, you can kill people through them without ever breaking cover.

You're right, it isn't necessarily game-breaking, but all the same, it struck me as one of the few mechanics that were exploited.

And as for the Netwar advice, thank you. I've played many games on Offshore, so I know it well, but I was never aware that you could do that. Other games do appear to have me trained. On an unrelated note:

How much GP does everyone else get per match? I seem to get ~200-250 per match.

Depends; some matches, I get 200+, but if I get in a nasty one where I'm playing bad or have a poor connection, I can get as low as 130ish.

I've just noticed that apparently the only way to permanently unlock the HAR is to buy it with cash; GP just gives rental options.

I typically get 160-180, but I'm a pretty bad shoot, so I don't get much in the way of combat bonus.

Yeah, I noticed that you can almost always shoot through gaps in gratings, plates, fences et cetera. Basically, if you can see through it, you can probably shoot through it too.
