Has anyone else found themselves completely forgetting about CP? Most games I play I end up with around 3k or so in the last minute, when I finally notice that I haven't spent any.

I buy health refills at least two or three times a match, and I'd say I buy a hardsuit at some point in 2/3 of the games I play.

I'm going to put together a player list in the first post, unless someone protests.

Yes, but you can still earn them. The wallet-warriors are annoying, rather than broken OP. That aside, once thing I've noticed that bugs me is that apparently the only way to have more than 1 loadout slot is to shell out $10US for each additional slot, as I didn't see a way to buy slots with GP. Did anyone see anything different about that?
I unlocked a second one at some point without buying it. Might be a level thing.

EDIT: Simmura in-game. Add me, we'll shoot people.

Yep, just got my second one as well. Looks like a level thing. And since by the time the level-earned 3 day gear wears off I ought to have ~15-20k GP, I don't think that getting decent gear will be a problem. Especially since the default assault rifle seems to hold its own fairly well. Just looking at raw playtime, I've made around 3k GP in around 4 hours with the most basic gear and no experience with the game whatsoever; GP/match seems to be around 170-200 per, if you place in the top half of your team. A 1st place finish only netted me around 20 GP more than a finish near the middle of the team.

Anyhow, I'm Lunarian ingame, add me as well and we can suck at Not-CS:S together.  :P

Just had my best match so far.  Ended with a score of 20-3.  One more and I hit level 11.

Anyway.  Going to work on adding that player list to the first post now.

Eheh, I've been noticing that my crappy connection is still affecting me here. Not as badly as most games, but still enough to take the edge off. Part of that might just be that it is a tiny bit too graphics-intensive for my computer. Oh well; the former problem will go away once I'm back at uni, and I'm still managing to at least break even on kills, and have been playing as much Domination as I can in order to be able to contribute better with what I have.

After a bit of checking up, it appears that only 2 loadout slots are free; any further ones must be bought with real money.

I've been playing a bit today. One thing I notice, though, is that the GP never adds up in a session of play, and just stays the same. There is also the same problem with the marketplace. When I buy an item, it never deducts any GP and I don't get the item I bought either. However, when I relog, it takes into account all the changes I made. Anyone else with this problem?

Oh, and in-game name is AndyTheVicious

Been having a play on this, seems to be very lethal combat. How do you select permenant duration when buying items? I'd like to be able to see how much gp I need.

Metalax in game.

Metalax in game.

There should be a scroll-down bar in the purchase window. Buying weapon frames is 5500 GP for permanent, and I believe it is the same for prebuilt weapons. If you play a good amount during the 3-day period with your level-up gifts, you should have enough to buy a prebuilt weapon or two; personally, I'm aiming to get enough GP to build my own ideal SMG before I do anything else.

Is there a way to get permanent nodes, or do they all have time limits on them?

How do you even get nodes, and what do they do?

Nodes can be bought on the marketplace for 200GP, or at least you can buy a chance pack of them for that. They give a small boost to you. I think you can also win them playing in certain matches or something.

Yeah, you can win them in ranked matches, which don't appear to exist. The 200GP ones appear to only last for 3 days, and aren't terribly impressive (one I got was a 1% boost to movement speed while in ironsights).

So buy guns and armor instead.

Got it.

And the wallhack scrambler device, because people rely on their legit hacks far too much. Makes it so much easier to camp high-traffic avenues when the possibility of someone waiting there is automatically discounted by half the players because nobody shows up to a quick scan.

Got it a while ago, managed to play two games before getting disconnected from the game. I quite like it, it will hold me over until planetside 2 atleast.

I was almost jumping with joy when I in my first game managed to sneak up on an enemy, shoot him in the back and steal his mech, then in the second game I managed to find an awesome camping spot and proceeded to lay waste to anyone coming to steal our precious flag, for some reason the enemies hardly ever actually looked there. (It was a hangar map and I was standing on top of one of those stairs with wheels.
Also pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to rake in the cash just by playing normally.
Weapon customization seems fleshed out and I love that they don't abstract much, they just throw you the raw numbers of the weapons, this means it is alot easier to make informed decisions on what weapon to build.

Negatives I'd like to point out though.
*I am not a fan of spawning right beside enemies...
*The maps are a bit too small, atleast the two I managed to play, it feels a bit too spammy.
*The layout of the menus and store etc, feel cluttered and unintuitive.

I definitely agree with #1.  It's my biggest complaint.

I tentatively agree with #2, and definitely on a couple maps.

Don't have a problem with any menus, though.

I played the game for a while after having seen TB's WTF on it. The gameplay is quite addictive and the fact that you can rent guns (as has been mentioned by others here) is awesome. So far, it seems I'm doing quite well with LMG's, okay with Assault Rifles and terribad with everything else (Bolt-action in close combat made sure I already had the "longest-match-oh-god-why" already).

ID is Dohon, server is Europe.
