I've noticed that there's a crash every time I try to sell something. I just tried again with a fresh character (no mercantilism skill on this one so it's probably nothing to do with that after all), here's a screen :

Yes, I've identified and fixed this bug already. I'm not sure if I've released a hotfix for it so I'll go ahead and do that anyway. Progress on the new version is slow; running into problems with Ruby that aren't my fault.

Also, this is getting too annoying for me, having to restart from scratch every time i hit a bug, so i think that i'll stop testing this until some sort of saving/loading feature is implemented.

What do you mean "use map screen"?

Development has stalled because I got frustrated with encryption and decryption not working, and I've been learning Python and putting together a GUI program. I should have an update out next month at the latest.

One of my biggest problems with C++ right now is my inability to make anything graphical. I know it can be done, but it's a pain in the ass to work it out.
If Python is good for it and can handle some pretty heavy math, I may have to give it a try.

I managed to get a decent GUI running in a day or two with python and pygame, so I'd have to say yes.

I spent months on this update just trying to get some damn security. I struggled with encryption methods for days, sobbing as the compiler rejected them one after the other. I battled with Google, desperately searching for some form of code, anything, some fix to my problem. I just wanted to encrypt a file. That's all I wanted. Was that too much to ask? Is nothing updated to work with Ruby anymore? I cannot say, but I am a broken man. The save files are done, their code has sat finished for weeks upon weeks. Take them. Take them and look away. I wish to suffer my shame in silence.

VERSION 3.0! Changelog:
  • The game will now automatically save your progress when you gain a level. You can load this from the menu.
  • The messages for generating a new map will now write over each other rather than displaying beneath each other.
  • The game will no longer close when you encounter a crashing bug; instead, it will display the error message for you to copy and kick you to the menu.
  • Being kicked out of towns is now based on a 'heat' system in that town that you generate by killing things in it, rather than just randomly.
  • Possibly other changes that weren't noteworthy.

Yes, I forgot to change that variable call when I changed how quests were handled. Redownload the game from the website, it's fixed now.
