I looked at a packet of 'em once, on the side it said: 'Note: These biscuits do not help digestion.' Or something along those lines.
I chuckled.

Hey, neat! Too bad I'm over in Washington, or I'd join right up. Sounds like a good time though, I'll have to see about any North West Americas meetups...
Why don't you just make a trip over there? Not like your country is RIDICULOUSLY MASSIVE or anything. :P

Google says it's a... ~40 hour drive out to where we are... If he really wants to drive that far, I'm not going to turn him away at the door, but that is a seriously long drive, I'm closer to California than I am to him.

I couldn't plausibly drive all the way across 'Murrica to the east coast, but if there was a west coast meetup, this Californian would probably be able to go. After I get my license...

There seems to be a lot of cool people in California (also a lot of gun crime, but I'm sure these things are unrelated). I would totally be tempted to go take a bus down to Californai to hang out for a while if someone was willing to put me up for a week.

O_O That would be quite some trip. According to Ye Olde Googleth, a car trip from Ohio to Northern California would take... 37 hours. Wow.

There's been a west coast DF meetup before. Toady was there.

Maybe look into that if you're interested in doing another one.

I'm happilyish located in Central Texas right now, but I've got a car that loves the highway and could probably fit four passengers. Give me a fair bit of warning, and I think that I could get leave time and trek just about anywhere in the States, giving anyone a ride who wanted it.

Of course, if we've got enough Texans to have a meetup within 200 miles of Killeen, that'd be super cool too, just because I don't have to do paperwork for that.

There's probably enough to do some kind of Mid-Atlantic one too. I know just in this local area there's me, MetalSlimeHunt, Footkerchief, freeformschooler (although I think he's up towards the mountains) and a handful of other upper-forumgoers. And then Duke's only about 4 hrs north.

Well Strife, if you're willing to drive all the way to Washington on your way...  :P

(Perhaps one of the longest detours you can take in the contiguous United States while driving from Texas to Ohio.)

Yeah, I don't think they'll let me take quiiite that much Leave. I'll rephrase my offer. I'll go up to eight hours out of my way to pick anyone up who needs to get picked up to any  meet-up that I'm able to attend.

Of course, I haven't actually found where to host this...

EDIT: Oh, and incidentally I may be able to carpool people who aren't too far off track from me as well. Assuming we're actually doing this (Are we doing this? Are we making this happen?).

If you do wind up making this happen, you should probably set an itinerary of sorts, so we don't meet up and go, "So...yeah. Butcherin' kittens." And then things get awkward.

If I show up, y'all are getting a kiss.

I'm probably not showing up.
