There was a prank played once where they gave paint to a chimpanzee and then showed the prints to art critics under a fake name.  They raved, the prank was revealed, suddenly they knew all along.

I guess the comic wasn't so bad, it was an earnest expression of that period in the artist's life.  I think we've all had one of those moments.  Mine was a slow one over a long period of time where I grappled with the knowledge that everything I hated about other people was just projected self-loathing.  I never hated bros or jocks or anything, just other nerds, because part of me desperately didn't want to be one.

One thing that did resonate with me is that, when you truly see your whole life as a continuum of decisions, or non-decisions....that's a very hard reality to face up to if you're not proud of it.

But the outright nihilism is something that I gave up long ago. Really, if you're not going to off yourself, there's only one place you can go. And that's up.

Its kinda silly to complain that a friendly NPC isn't a well designed boss fight.

Hate to tell you bro... you're on a forum full of nerds. They're everywhere. And (scare chord!) you're one of them!

Quote from: Chesterton
For, in order that men should resist injustice, something more is necessary than that they should think injustice unpleasant. They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

Did anyone else get a Peter Chimera vibe?

Everyone sucks at everything. Until they don't. Not sucking is a product of time invested.

I know, I came to grips with it a while ago.
