I plan on being a Norman Ruler though to spread English culture. This doesn't get rid of the "Ruler is Norman" requirement. This just makes it so that the Kingdom of England specificly doesn't need to exist for it to happen.
If you want to do the culture spread thing you should be doing it by the same rules as everyone else.

Except you can't spread any Cultures to the British Isles. You need to have a province that is of the culture you want to spread next to the province you want said culture. This doesn't work over water. This means that the British Isles are limited to the cultures there at the time. The English Melting pot event chain is the only way the English culture appears too.

The whole kingdom-creation mods or whatever seem just pointless complications anyhow. We can just take existing king titles if you need them. Sure, it'll be slow, but be a man.

I don't know if you noticed, but we have three players in England. Yeah, I don't think we can all be the King of England.

2. Your Capital and land MUST be in the British Isles. This does not mean that you CAN'T expand outside of the Isles, but you still need to be centered around Britannia.

And why does that require a MTTH that's 10 times faster and flips vassal culture?  If you are going to make an event to flip the channel problem then make it work by the same rules as the normal culture spread.

Are you not listening to me? I just said the Normal Cultural Converstion rules don't allow culture spread to provinces not connected to them. I can't spread my culture normally. Islands can't get any new cultures spread to them. The English culture is the only way I can make my vassals not hate me because foreigner.

You also have to keep in mind that this only happens to people with Norman leiges. The English Culture events don't happen to Saxon lords if someone triggers it. Chances are, I'm not going to expand outside of the area I want, and the area I want is not all of England. Not everyone wants to conquer everything, ans some people are just content with trying to keep a small kingdom together.

I see. There aren't nearly enough duchies for everyone in the British Isles, though. Can you make, say, a kingdom of three duchies from the continent and your primary duchy in the British Isles?

And again, how are you going to host this? Do you intend to use Hamachi?

Looking at the De-Jure Duchies, I think 4 duchies is enough. Your going to have to work a bit to get enough Duchies, but you don't need to conquer everything.

Oh my god. I do I look like I know how to fucking code? And you should also look at the MTTH for Cultural converstion: With a Normal Stewardship skill, it takes 1200 months, or 100 years. It gets even worse if you have bad Stewardship. That means I would be getting 1 English province every Hundred years. Yeah, I don't think thats very fair to me.

Here, how about this: In order to make it equal, code in something which makes English-to-Saxon as fast as Saxon-to-English. There, problem solved.

Why don't you just make it only trigger in your provinces, if your ruler is norman and if your ruler is a king?

Yeah... same as everyone else.

If you want a coder to provide cultural shift events for the isles I'd be happy to oblige.  I'd just like to have a good reason why we actually want such changes.
