disappearing bridges

So I have a fortress that is slowly tantruming (sp?) into the ground. The thing is bridges keep disappearing. Maybe tantruming dwarves are destroying them? I will just keep rebuild but it is getting curiouser and curiouser.

It's more than likely the beserking dwarves, if you select and then deselect a lever to be removed that controls the bridge this will break it as well.
