I would ask why fire can burn two men to death without getting hot enough to burn a book, but then I read "INEXTINGUISHABLE RUNNING KAMIKAZE RADIOACTIVE FLAMING ZOMBIE" and realized that logic, reason, and physics are all occupied with crying in the corner right now.

By mid summer, I've got a nice little fort set up.
Had some problems with the yaks (need pastures) so slaughtered them.
The militia commander was on hand to smash them though, and I managed to tan them (and lock away the hair heads that had been bashed off)
Morale is mid-high (happy mostly).
Main problem will be letting in the caravan/ migrants and not the zombies. (barn owl corpses still there)

Made a bridge 'airlock' system that may work.
Hope it does.

Two migrant waves and the autumn caravan fell before I could complete the airlock.
They should have brought more guards.
Currently waiting for the new year and human caravan.

AWESOME DRIVING!

"Hey Doren, ya think ya could drive through that hole in the wall? it looks safe."
"Sure! I don't see how that could fail!"
*4 hours of parallel parking later*
"Well, it worked! :D Time to build a wall!"

I'd say that's solid evidence for the theory that wagons are baby sky-whales.

Won't caravans appear/leave through the caverns if there is no surface access ?
Could help with Evil rain / clouds.

Still going strong.
The problem is 50+ zombies on the metaphorical doorstep.
The rain only causes vomiting (which you can see on the screenshots).

Wait, did the wagon spawn next to those stairs and under the roof...?

Yep.
They appear through the caverns as well? I've only ever seen them leave via the caverns.

I am trying to make chickens lay bees as eggs. So far it only produces a single "Tame Small Creature" when a hen lays bees.
Honestly at the time, I didn't see what could go wrong with crowding 80 military Dwarves into a small room with a necromancer for the purpose of making bacon.
