This is pretty good. Isn't TFTD supposed to have game breaking bugs in the tech tree though? Its why I never played it much.

Could I take an Aquanaut? I can't swim, and I might be a bit tetchy bacause you can't smoke in a diving suit!

It does, but they're easily avoided. Of course Orb has no clue how to avoid them, so hopefully he's keeping backup saves for each turn.

Ooh.  I'm always excited for an X-COM LP, and I've never played TftD myself, so this'll be interesting.  Dorf Aquanaut me as Cyanbeard please, a grunt, with whatever the equivalent of a laser rifle is, or failing that, heavy plasma (gauss rifle?).  Tactics include auto-shot at close range, auto-shot at medium range, auto-shot at long range, and whenever there's an aquatoid behind cover, auto-shot.

Unfortunately, I won't remember that. I only use autoshot at close range. At long range it has a low chance to hit anything and it wastes ammo, which is quite limited in TFTD.

Add if Fikes 1 when you get the chance. I volunteer to be the guy who walks into UFOs or those spiral cave things with armed high explosives so when I am gunned down I take the alien with me.

I love the psychic scientists. So much better then those non-psychic ones that can only come up with conclusions that dirrectly corelate to the evidence infront of them.

As it turns out, the pen was in fact a poor choice for melee combat in comparison to the sword.
So I just started playing this game and I accidentally nuked the moon.

Wouldn't the sonic weapons be more quiet?  All of that extra noise is kinda wasted. Meh.

Anyways you should be glad that you're just facing Aquatoids. The next aliens you face are going to be, uh, slightly tougher. Since you seem to have two Joe Chandlers for some reason, give the weaker one the dtun rod thermal tazer. You'll need them.

Major defeat today. Our Triton was simply not fast enough. The enemy slaughtered all the civilians, ruined the harbor, and retreated right before the Triton could reach the UK.

I thought we had time to stop for some seafood on the way... my bad.

I had to decide who was our most valuable troops

I'm valuable.  8)

Unfortunately, you're not quite in. IIRC, you're the next one to go in.

Wouldn't the sonic weapons be more quiet?  All of that extra noise is kinda wasted. Meh.

I figured the weapon was so powerful there was bound to be a small percentage of noise escape. And that percentage is like a shotgun going off. Just a little RP.

Anyways you should be glad that you're just facing Aquatoids. The next aliens you face are going to be, uh, slightly tougher. Since you seem to have two Joe Chandlers for some reason, give the weaker one the dtun rod thermal tazer. You'll need them.

Woops. Let me think how that happened.

Ok. I see what I did, my system failed me. I had skipped down to Joe because he wanted special weapons, and I wanted to make sure he had good stats to complement. When I came around to him again, I forgot I already added him, and did it twice. Well, I guess Monkey IS getting in, and he'll be our taser man. Looks like I can start working on that update.

I'm glad you spoiled the buggy tank, but please don't spoil enemies, no matter how OP they are. It's part of the fun for me.
