TF2: A fair trade?
« on: July 08, 2012, 05:25:02 pm »

The soda popper is a gun I have wanted since I first started playing TF2 3 weeks ago as a video with this gun as the main feature brought me into the game ( I had it downloaded on steam ages ago tho) (the wingers pretty cool to but back on topic) I was messing about with the pyro the other day and I found "Scorch shot" I was told this was a pretty valuble item so I was thinking "Hey couldnt I trade this for a soda popper" (I dont know how rare soda popper is but a lot of people seem to have it) Or/And the winger but is this a fair trade? Will people laugh in my face? or will they beg to be the first to trade with me? Help =S

This question could easily just go right in the TF2 thread. Or the TF2 trading thread if you want to try to trade that Scorch Shot. It's better to keep game-specific questions in the existing topics rather than creating a new topic, just to avoid clutter on the board.

That said, the Scorch Shot is valuable right now because it's one of the most recently released items, so there hasn't been much time for it to drop and most people don't have it yet. The Soda Popper has been dropping long enough that it's no longer rare. Right now you could get a better deal for your Scorch Shot. In a few weeks/months however the Scorch Shot will have been around long enough that it won't be any more valuable than any other weapon.

Haha, you clearly don't know Hemmingjay very well. Just a couple days ago he bought me and 5 other people the game of their choice, for no discernible reason. He's awesome.
