I'll lose my faith in this forum if at least one person doesn't make that gif his avatar.

Mind control the one on the bird, kill the rest with the brain explosion needles sounds like a better idea, i never saw the bird before.

Wait, no... Try to talk to them! They might not have to die, they are killing the BAD GUYS.

"Excuse me, what side do you align with?" says little pink slug man.

(I think they caused the thorn trees, it grew from one brain and just kept growing and spreading.)

blood thorn are ubiquitous cavern flora in dwarf fortress, those are just blood spaters. i'd hesitate to talk to one of the olm men, they're just defending their territory, i doubt they have a clear idea of what's going, and have no more reason to trust us mre than the goblins. possess one, we'll then have access to his thoughts and memories

i would, if i wasn't too attached to my own

If we possess one they would have a reason to kill us, currently they don't seem to care.

omnomnom

I can't see...
... and what is that disgusting smell... everything...
... is so... weird...

that's better!

You are an olm man. You don't have a name.
You can sense your companions, but a terrible stench in the air is blocking most of your senses.
It comes from the unknown invaders, of whom you only heard stories.
Their smell is worse than anything you have ever known before.

You are defending your people, because the unknown invaders also got the attention of your natural enemies.

This was a tough one, but the majority was for possession.
Doesn't seem like they noticed the incident, so feel free to talk now.

I must admit that your avatar inspired me in some way  ;D

Uh... can we kinda relieve control of the host (since it's been alive when we took it, unlike the previous two) while still receiving input from its senses? I want to know how olm people communicate between themselves without revealing ourselves by saying something along the lines "O HAI HAU DU AI SPIK".

You guys think this is ever going to happen?
...
Hmm... I'm not sure if I even want that to happen. I kinda want abandon Datan in this storyline, since playing a skeleton dwarf isn't the same thing. Also the way he died was pretty anticlimatic. How about a prequel forum game with Datan and how he got to the beginning in the first place?

I want Datan back, but as a companion like Doomy.

Datan, Doomy, and Dissapointment.

I've missed a bunch, but have we had the amazing technicolor silhouettovision before, or is that an olm man thing?

Because the hammer's silhouette was notable.
