Ok I'll rescan it later.

Edit: Did it. Still messy, but text should be readable.

Yep, much better. Except the first map doesn't matter since the toad got somewhere pretty far away from where we were. :D

Wow...
Didn't noticed that, maybe the whole map thing is a sort of abstract codex detailing the things we are needing to gather in order to fulfill some weird prophecy!

Use the talking face hammer to magically heal your deadly tumor!
Hopefully the "healing" won't be "exploding the head into gibs".
Like what happened to the goblin there.

But let's try anyway.

Tell the Hammer that killing you would mean it will be left alone forever, never to be used again. Unless it serves you, Then it will see countless battles and be well renowned and even be passed down to others. And it will be worshipped.

This. Then get out of there, using the hammer to fly out of the pit into which we descended while running from engravings.

Onwards to analysis! I don't know how good I am at this, but I'll give it a try.
Seems I tend to overthink things perhaps.

What are the possibilities that the rubble in the beginning is a cave-in? Maybe the dwarves dug into the caverns but then had to seal it in an emergency, leaving two dwarves behind. Yeah, that other one could be a dwarf. Maybe something ate it, thought our friend Datan was dead and just left him for later? (He's missing some bones though, and those horns... No wait, the horns are attached to the helmet, not him.)

Soon, we see a loose rope and some blood on the rubble. I think someone was trying to get down there. Perhaps to harm or rescue Datan. But... uh, I don't see other reasons for the blood than a fight. And by the looks of the loose rope, the one not wanting anyone to go down there won.

The blood across the chasm is a tad suspicious. Was there a fight on that exact spot? But there's no trails anywhere. The loser must've been devoured whole or something...

A torch, a skull, and a ladder. Seems someone was here. Seems he's also dead. And everyone saw that shadow in the puddle right? And, obviously, it didn't come from behind him, but above him. Too late now though. Looks like the helmet we saw earlier.

So, um, that shadow's down there too. Seems to be the same green stuff from the blade. And goblins are coming from above. Seems they might be the ones who dropped the rope in the beginning. Not sure if they're invading, or actually live there. And the rope came down again. Seems they don't want Datan to get up there.

So, at the fancy boulder... Not sure who made it and why... Maybe it leads somewhere. Those spiky blood spots look like pawprints. On the boulder and on the "map". And that is definitely a dwarf ghost. That's what has been following you around at the puddle and on the ladder. Seems like iron helms with bone spikes were quite popular. Maybe it's the same dwarf who was dead next to you. The helmets match. However, I can't make anything of that skull mask being flung out of the mouth. Seems that boulder definitely leads somewhere.

Back at the goblin slaughter site, there's another of those pawprints. Someone was here. And ate the heads. Doubt it's the work of the apparent giant slug though. That thing also seems to follow us around.

Also, whatever those red thingies in the nest are, it seems like their skulls are quite similar to what those helmets looked like.

At the batcave... Those red images... Bats, same squidy thing from the "map", and a helmet/skull image.

And more curious pawprints at the waterfall by the one great toad. Might be the same thing that slaughtered that giant toad, seemingly easily. Seeing as pawprints are leading from it. But it's curious how the toad got injured in the few moments we weren't looking. That thing with the spiky paws is everywhere yet nowhere. And it seems invincible to boot.

Okay, the next battle site is interesting. Those pawprints seems to belong to that giant (white =O) cave crocodile. But how did it move so fast, and it seems to have been in too many places, and there's no way he could've gotten up that waterfall. Seems that big furry thing also has one of those iron helms with bone horns. Then there's the goblin in black. Notice his shield. It has the same image as you can see on the coin, and those 3 horns are identical to the ones on the figurine, and his helm. So I'm guessing they belong to the same civilization. Another interesting thing is the pile of big bones in the ground. It looks quite freshly dead, judging from the blood around him.

And more friggin' pawprints at the boulder. There must be some other entity causing this.

Next would be... The engraving cave. We can see dwarves and these manbats. They seem rather friendly. And seems the pawprints have caught the eye of the engraver aswell. And, again with the weird three horns. Those hexagons are like the ruby we had. The weird "T" shape was on the coin and shield. Squidy thingy on the wall is also on the parchment piece. Helmet with beard... Reminds me of that ghost dwarf we saw earlier. And the next image... Oh dear. It's that furry big thing from the fray earlier. Seems the thing with the bloody paws doesn't like it. That's clearly the figurine we had. Three horns, need I remind you? And the final engraving is us. The contour is exactly the same, save for us having a tumor, no fashionable horned helmet nor that sword. Which just happens to be the one from the parchment. It would seem like... Nah, overthinking it again. Make of it what you will.

The next scene has our old friend Mr. giant slug again. Maybe it likes us. Couldn't make much out of the goblin's speech, but it seems like he knows exactly what's going on here. Their shield still have the same engraving as the other shields, the coin, the wall... The two missing plates on our slug friend are odd. I'm not actually too convinced it is a slug at all. Seeing as, all the holes, including the smashed open part are now closed. That thing has recuperative powers.

Further along the engraving cave there's an odd engraving. Reminds me of the giant white cave crocodile. More pawprints, notice the triple horns again. And that fireball looks quite divine. I think the white cave croc is nothing compared to this thing. It looks almost magical. Also, another pawprint on the next wall.

Down the cave, using the fancy not-knot rope, we arrive at another significant place. I'm willing to bet it's the same boulder as the one on the fray site. That engraving is the damn figurine with huge arms with claws, and another triple horned helmet. They must've been in style before the iron ones with two bone horns came in. And it's holding another fireball like the one in the giant engraving above.

I like the map zombie urist drew. Quite nice. But the image on the parchment doesn't exactly match the hammer's face. Though they might be related.

Now then, where to go next? I think we should go exploring. Go to places we haven't been to yet. Easiest would just be to venture to the right, although there's plenty of other place to go to. Right from the fray location, we could try and beat the troll with our hammer, see if beyond the troll is where the rope we didn't go down leads, I still think there's more behind the boulder with a face. And, perhaps there's something to the right of the place with the torch and big skull?

That's all from me. I hope this is more help than spam.
