In my defense the guard I attacked a moron and deserved to be attacked.
But no matter once I know if I can make a new city for the game for a minor noble I've got the outline of a new character made up.

Please look at the OP. In my opinion, I don't think you can just create a new location on the map for a new noble.

And you just killed a man because he was doing his duty D:

He had a wife and two kids!

I did not kill the guard lol.
Not the first one anyway I just knocked him out.

But I don't really mind if I can make a new place or have control of one that exists but I can't tell which one are controlled my people and which one's are not.

Can I use an area of the player map that has not been named for my noble?

He kinda needs land for that.

Have to scrap the noble then and work out something else but I can't see how I can make a character with an army without having the land to support an army.

Is there any kind of character the game could use?

A few questions  :(

> Why do you want an army? Is it to serve the King better, or your own needs? Mercenary bands were tried before, and only done when they had a purpose for the people and the direct nobility. [IMO]

> Why would you want to lead a band of soldiers? To prove your power or prowess or something else entirely?

> Even if you were a noble, the nobility has ranks of respect and order. Would you respect those among your status and the people below you, regardless of nobility [personal] or not?

The army primarily was to serve the king.
I wanted to lead one to prove to the army itself that I was fit to command them and to build a reputation as a good soldier.
As a noble I was going to set it so that within my territory being of high birth did not on it's own mean you would have more power then low born.
So if the son of a noble was useless he would have no power while if the son of a blacksmith was a military genius he would end up as a regiment commander if not in command of an entire army.

So your position within my territory was based on merit not on birth.

Not working my dear Mesor. We play a Medieval Feudal Setting. Equating the 12th Century. Go wikipedia and figure out how many Meritocracies existed during the 12th Century and if you find a good example come back, create an interesting Character and then try and change the Kingdom. But starting with such an area just plopping about out of nowhere is just ridiculous.

Their military is meritocratic, but the nobility is not.

Their military is meritocratic, but the nobility is not.

I'm a bit confused on what makes one nobility in a land that is ruled by it's generals, are generals nobility?  Do they pass that onto their children?
