NUKE, I would greatly like divine assistance, like a name.
Okay, see. You can go to a temple and ask the priests for help finding your father the Swordsmaster. The priests will probably offer you the following options:
-Pray to your patron god and offer a small sacrifice (No tangible effect)
-Have an Oracle divine the identity of your father. (Will cost a bit)
-A guy who knows a guy who knows a monastery where monks hone themselves in the way of the sword, and might've heard of someone fitting your description.

How much is the Oracle?

No. A GM has yet to approve (or not) your character.

Several (5~10) Drakes. Not a mechanically relevant amount of money, but enough that one might flinch before paying it.

I have 35. So yeah, the Oracle could help.

But going to the monastery... very tempting... Adventure time?

If whoever is running the mystery father plotline is cool with it. (This is why I'm doing this in the OOC thread, because if it turns out that this doesn't jive with the existing plot, it never happened)

The basic situation is that Shoot is the GM, I'm relief GM-turned-secondary GM, and whoever is King (or Regent in this case) can roll rolls as well.

Except that backfired horrendously on me, as the character-driven civil war arising out of this means that neither Regent nor main GM can actually do the majority of rolls, coinciding with one of the busiest and most frigging exhausting periods of the year for me.  I had in fact arranged the Regency specifically because both Dwarmin and I are extremely busy right now...

When Fust gets himself killed in a few posts' time, I'm playing a politically neutral bloody priest or something so I don't wind up in this situation.

Name : Mesor
Position : Assassin
Full Name : Lucian Wang
Bio : Lucian was abandoned at the age of 5 and left to fend for himself on the streets. He's quick hands and even quicker feet made him a great thief and he thrived after a fashion in this roll. Getting older he realized he could not remain a thief forever , so he got himself a bow and trained every day to use it and once he decided he was good enough he began looking for work as a bow for hire. After a few small time jobs he was given a chance , he was hired to kill a minor official in a city and jumped at the chance. He has never looked back since and now will kill anybody as long as the price is right.
Traits or resources : Stealth +1 , Marksmanship +1 , Masterwork bow.

I actually don't have that much of a problem with this, but I want to hear Shoot's thoughts before I give approval.

It's an interesting goal, if a touch cliched - but then assassins' guilds always are.  At the moment, raising troops is a bit more like raising a small band of mercenaries of bandits rather than an elite cadre of assassins - they're more blunt force than finesse.  I suppose you could work out a way to use them as a support network for PC missions, though.  If Shoot approves you, you'll have a choice of starting in either Stormstead or just outside it: it is possible the PCs might offer you work taking each other out, although this will be a potentially bloody short career.

Wang is an interesting choice of name, though.  Is he filthy Selenid scum?  (Read: Chinese.  Note a certain amount of extreme racism involved re Adrans versus Selenids.)

On an unrelated note, just got back from a 16 hour day.  Turns will have to wait until tomorrow, sorry.
