How much would it cost for a parcel of land in the mountains?

I don't think anyone is going to sell land to a merchant kingfisher.

Alright, if anyone has a need for a hedge night state your business here, if Tiruin already has one it would probably be better to go to another guy who may need it. I'm also after advice from somoene (thanks again) changing my stuff, removing the duel trait and instead making my Regiment a Personal Guard.

Firstly, only Landed Nobles have a personal guard. Change it to a normal regiment instead.

Secondly, I don't have a hedge knight.  But if anyone won't accept your hand, I will (The King is always open, but I think Dwarmin has enough on his hands, I guess)

Thirdly, try...other traits than pure combat. This Y.A.K. has many many many attributes and ideas to put.

Depending on the rolls it would probably be possible to buy lands from an npc, but it would cost a small fortune per parcel.

Only if you're very lucky. I'd say between 5-10, if you even find someone willing to sell land.

I would like to remind you all that there is no NPC land in our country. But that should put some pressure on everyone to expand.
seriously, if you are of minor unladed nobility, petition the king or the lord you consider reliable enough and ask them for land or clamor for a camaign.

Maybe if you are playing a commoner  it may not be so easy, but if you are noble you should be bothering your higher-ups all the time with requests for land and so on. Thats the main reason why eveyone warred so much and had to concede to nobility all the time: the bugers always were looking for more land for themselves or their descendants. If king is passive enough, nobility should pressure him enough until he moves or concedes to call up a Diet and pass some priviliges.

tl;rd version: please, send requests to the higher nobility! bother them for land and war! be unruly!
