I don't believe the exact exchange rate (beyond 100 crowns = 1 ducat) has been established.  I think it's fair to say that a Wolf will buy you a loaf of bread, lump of cheese and some not-too-sour ale, or even a night sleeping on the stone hearth by the fire at one of the quieter inns, whilst a Hound might buy you a bread-shaped rock, a lump of cheese that's gone off or some ale that's actually part innkeeper-piss.

When I first thought about the money, I supposed that:
1) A peasant would buy his food and his drinks with hounds
2) Count his profits in wolves
3) A merchant would do the same with drakes
4) A big merchant or a small lord in crowns
5) A lord, in ducats

Also, people: don't bold actions you can't fail like "go to sleep" or "go to my room". I'm not gonna roll for that ;)

I think it's to show that they're done talking and we can move on to the meeting, since while time is fungible, most of us are doing the same things.

I assumed people wanted RP posts for those. :P

Last night I rolled a critical failure at sleeping and was up 'till two-thirty in the morning.

Relevant to the game, though, I think that we're going to hit pileups at different points as people wait for the next day after a meeting of the characters to be declared. Or people can do what some others did and say <Insert name> sleeps and does <insert action> the next day.

Is the castle on the opposite of the Northwatch border inhabited?

And sorry for lack of posting, power problems and weather have been popping up...

There's a reason the King asked your char the situation on the border. :P
It's not yet tomorrow, so I guess I'm free to make it up! set an intricate plot between us Frenchmen//Germans and them Vikings!

Personally, I do that to show that "I am done for the day."

Freenode's captchas are usually like that; as long as you have a go they let you in. :P It's a bit weird.

Actually, it only checks if the really mangled word is spelled correctly. The other word is actually taken from old manuscripts or newspapers or what have you that can't be understood by transcription software; if you spell the computer generated word correctly, it assumes you're human and going to spell the copied word correctly. It's a way of using the masses of people who log onto things like Freenode regularly to transcribe pages upon pages of old text into computers.

Although we might be talking about different things, in which case never mind.

So, we've implemented the Logistics trait. It would basically be a trait giving a bonus to army movement speed, supplies (only if you're cut off of your supply lines), and ability to take a good terrain before battle. Who would want to replace a military trait with this one? It's to add diversity to our generals (so that more than one guy can be useful per army). I will probably do it with my char.

Ah, so that's how reCaptcha works. I knew about the transcribing thing and some of the words always seemed very un-old-manuscripty, but that explains it. Thankyee kindly.

"Not a bit. Someone has to be early, after all. Let's speak before the others arrive, shall we?

I understand I was a bit...hasty yesterday, during out meeting. I was eager to greet everyone, and taking your leave, I might have been over prudent in seeing you off. A shame you couldn't attend the feast, but understandable. I trust you won't hold it against me?

2 problems.

1. I bid myself good bye, you didn't see me off.
2. I did attend the feast.
