Honour dictates that until you are well enough for him to duel for the jarldom, he's your second.

Without betraying the assassin, I can safely say that there were about six consecutive attempts made on Ril's life during that assassination.  Including the phoney doctor.

And yeah, NPC assassins probably won't be that damn persistent, but this is full-on Borgia style PvP.  I made certain Ril had lots of ways to get out every time, and the PC who kept trying had to spend a hell of a lot of money and run quite a number of risks to pull that off covertly.

But... assassinations should be possible.  That said, if you want to be sure to off a player you should get another player to do it.  PvP is much more 'reliable'.  (NB: Assassins still have to get past NPC guards and find their targets, mind.)

Borgia PvP.... this is really turning out to be more fun than YaK2. but I loathe to lose PCs.

That said, is there anyone I can roll for? Anyone? I know there are few people waiting or being missed out and i would like to roll for them, provided it does not affect me.

E: Death of Ril can be considered a landmark thing for autumn and a good closing for the season. We still have problems galore.

On a related note, could either Shoot or Ardas (since the Regent can roll) please roll for Fust's situation?  When I did the roll I got a natural 1 and he was executed for spying.  >_>

Also, I removed the reference to rape from Sigurd's speech.  As Caellath pointed out to me, rape is explicitly against the Haegar religion and thus a fairly major aspect of the lore.  NO RAPE HERE.  (Unless the Adrans do it.)
