Hang on guys - there's a few mechanic things I have to talk about with Iituem about that fight - I think there was a miscalculation. Until we say it's ok, neither of you two move or post any more actions.

Why do I get the feeling I'm going to die.

Because you are very close to it.

I mean with the miscalculation.
I have a feeling my move will change and I'll end up dead.

Damn it.  Yeah, I'm going to need to reroll that combat.

And quickly, too.  I'm at my girlfriend's right now and she's getting pretty pissed I'm spending time doing this rather than being with her - which is valid, we only see each other once a month at most.  >:/

I'm rerolling the fight with the following mechanical adjustments.

In melee combat, ranged weapons can only be used on the first shot.  Afterward the character needs to put distance between them and melee characters (succeeding rather than drawing or losing an Escape check) to fire another shot.  Otherwise, you have to use melee weapons in melee.  Since this seriously changes the mechanics of the fight, I'll be rerolling the whole fight.

Unfortunately, yes.  The reroll, taking into account correct mechanics, was enough to kill Lucian.

You may if you wish roll another character.

Already have the new character made up.
I knew that character would end up dieing at some point unless I got extremely lucky.
But I don't know if the character itself would be possible or not.

Would be assassin lol?
You attacked me.

Lowborn kills three personal guards and bothers a mad hangman noble.

Figures.
The world is going to end. Because it all happened by accident! Just like Iiteum predicted! Or...was that adwarf?

Also, that thorn and the cloth, I am seeking for who told Aveline so I can support the search.

Do you think that people would know of this recent killing?

It's a bandit leader who lives in the forests near a major town ( I didn't pick what town yet ).
He is the descendant of the former leader of the bandit gang who recently died and he took control.
They have a small village inside the forest where they live.

The bit im not sure on is if it's possible for me to have that village hidden in the forest or not.
You know, his death is mostly due to your actions :-/

@kingfisher: Try to attack one of the seats of power in your area. Tell me if you don't attract suspicion or someone's ire.  :P

How? your really ask how?

You beat the Guard of the Man senseless then walk in screaming around that you will kill his guards and when he comes out you not even kneel before the Highborn. Instead you behave like you own the place and tell him that you will kill his guards if they so much as touch him and adding to that you throw the gear of one of his men at his feet. What do you expect?

That he falls on his knees and says oh yes be my new spymaster? Certainly not. Harald saw an insolent commoner who is a dangerous criminal at that. Besides insulting a Noble back in the Time was seldom a good idea as he had the right to do with his serfs as he pleased. And even if he killed a peasant of another noble he merely paid a wergeld if the victimized noble really wanted that.

Well, you did technically introduce yourself.

You used the entrance made of people-retort.

"Get out here Lord Stonewood I do not take kindly to having morons sent to arrest me. If you don't come out I will come in through your guards."

So...could you analyze how your dialogue (yes, despite dialogue not being an action, it matters) affects the reactions of others?

Nobles don't attack people for no reason. This isn't like any game where you've an objective and there is a linear way to complete it. Dynamic RP, is what exists here. You spoke to a Count, barged up to the Palace (that Palace.) and...attacked a guard who was affliated with the noble in question.
