I want a tournament.

That actually would be pretty cool.  It'd be like a tutorial to combat, since not everyone's done stuff like that.

1) Tournament is an excellent idea
2) ATTENTION PEOPLE: NEW IRC CHANNEL! It's simply #yak3. We figured we needed op power to keep the public peace.

He's a noble

Oh, really?
HOW IS THIS EVEN POSSIBLE AS STREET ORPHAN.
Also, that's not my point anyway.

I'm sorry,i had to leave very quicly.
But the first means he's a noble
The second one means he's a swordfighter.
The third means he's feared by low-caste people.
Oke? :(

Do any of the major roads have names? They be just grey hexes on the map lol.

Specifically the roads between Stormstead and Westwatch, on the north side of the river.

He can't be a noble if he was a street urchin. Bear in mind that nobility was very insular, and some common chump of the streets (even if he rose through the military) would practically never be granted a title of nobility. You might be rich and a national hero (but given Leandros' 'harsh and mysterious ways', the second isn't that likely), but you wouldn't be a noble.

One wonders how does a guy goes from private to general without a single actual battle skill...

What do you mean be 'Fighting +1'? Do you mean he gets a bonus when personally fighting, or is it a bonus to fights involving entire regiments?

Child of Armok,
We have studied both your sheets. Your bios are short and do not tell us anything about your character except for a few facts, often contradictory. You show poor writing skills in both grammar and spelling, and your previous experiences in YaK have not been particularly good. We do not believe that you have put any attention or care into your sheets, and we also think that you probably haven't read anything about the world's background. Besides, the fact that you failed to correct some of the mistakes pointed out by me or the players indicates that you do not understand them, which is much worse.

For all these reasons, we have decided that you should not be allowed to join the game. We are sorry, but we will not come back upon this decision - please do not post anymore on this thread or the other, not even to say goodbye, in order to avoid pollution of the current discussion. You are free to edit out your posts if you so desire.

All you really did was reinforce the point we needed a channel we had op rights on

And you had no point other than 'because it doesn't make sense'

Just like me! XD

Back to the point, how much does a landed noble earn annually//seasonally? When training, do we just state that we train (if level < 2) and the training roll comes up at the end of the season?
