I'm sorry there are not screenshots, I've just forgotten to think I'd want to write this story.
Curious, I went deeper into the structure. There were various undead animalmen in the top levels of the structure. In the middle of the ground level there was a glowing floor with a masterful blue scimitar attached to it. My kobold adventurer, Aslod, wanted the shiny weapon and was tempted into pulling it out of the ground. But the sword wasn't for free. The glowing floor has disappeared and the lower levels of the eerie structure were revealed.
There were many levels of rough slade and after going down Aslod immediately noticed pairs of glowing blue eyes staring at him from the darkness.
After coming closer, he noticed that the blue eyes were attached to the head of some Gecko Fiends looking for trouble. After slashing one of them with the blue scimitar, goo started gushing from the gecko fiend's wounds. After a few more slashes, the slade cavern floor in the dark chamber was covered in gray goo, and the enormous corpse of a giant gecko-man was on the ground. Aslod was proud of his victory. His only wounds were torn limbs and a broken cheek.
I had felt cheaty, and so I modded back the normal, small, non-web-shooting blood-and-flesh kobolds.
Aslod is no longer an invincible killing maching. He was terrified to feel so small and weak. He can't spray webs! He can no longer fly! No more attacks glance away of his adamant chest! Strangely, he discovered that his broken cheek was replaced by a broken knee, and he couldn't stand. He has also had the strange inability to look at himself, because that caused the game to crash. But he had a lot of skills raised up to the Legendary level. He used them to get rid of a few other gecko fiends that wanted him dead.
After the first level of the structure below the cavern ground was filled with smears of goo and corpses of gecko fiends, Aslod advanced deeper into the structure. But the levels below were empty and dull, and an aura of warmness could be felt when he touched the slade walls of the far ends of the middle chambers. "That slade must have a very high melting point, if it can stay solid even in the heat of the earth's core and the great sea of magma.", said Aslod to himself.
He could also see some cobwebs in one of the lower levels of the structure. "I think those belong to some ancient demon that rules over this place", said Aslod to himself. After advancing even deeper into the lowest point of the world, Aslod noticed an opening in the slade rocks that make the structure. An aura of eerieness filled the place through the small opening. Seemingly bottomless glowing pits were visible from inside. A land of slade with molten sky was revealed to the eyes of Aslod. There was a seemingly infinite number of great monsters standing on the black rocks. "The cobwebs must belong to one of those", thought Aslod.
He went out of the structure through another opening in one of its lowest levels, and not surprisingly, he wasn't really welcome in the hostile environment. A giant iguana-like monster was waiting behind a rock. It had a very strong dust attack, so strong than even the Iguana Demon itself was knocked by it. Aslod was lucky not to be knocked into a glowing pit that was to the northwest. He had choked badly, but he survived. The Iguana Demon was too late to start conflict.
Aslod quickly went through the lowest level of the great slade structure into another opening in the south. After walking a while, Aslod has found himself surrounded by Slate Gray Fiends. Those must have been the monster those webs in the structure belong to! They were huge spiders, with broad shells and slate gray scales that squirm and fidget. Strangely, in their descriptions, it's said that their special attack is a poisonous bite, not webs. Aslod thought of these monsters as the Giant Cave Spiders of the underworld. He has been hit by the webs shot by the fiends. Yes, less than five cobwebs were enough to immoblilze poor Aslod. His exceptionally trained skills have lost meaning. After a few strikes by the wobbling spiders Aslod was dead, now a rotting corpse in the underworld. Forever.
The slate gray fiend that has done the killing blow was given the name Strappedbones and nothing is known about her other than her killing of the kobold Aslod Esteemtwisted the Palace of Spattering in the depths below the Weak Plain.
And so the list continues through dozens of pages.
