What naming and maybe color (sch/th)emes should we have for the rides?

I'm going to try having each park have a theme, so I'll fill in the naming/coloring gaps to keep with the theme as necessary. Similarly, I'll try to put down scenery relating to the theme, and if applicable change the layout to reflect the theme. I'll try to avoid re-using the themes, or using them too much, so the later levels will have the additional challenge of scraping the bottom of the creativity barrel. I'll be a rather relaxed about the theme though, using it as more a guideline than a mandate.

I'm working off the provisional theme of 'starting out', since this is only the first scenario. I'm not going to get too worked up about it, as it is only the first scenario and it'll be over soon. Once we get into the meat of the game, then I'll try to get more creative with these things. I'm also always open for suggestions if anyone wants to put a theme forward.

And now, onto the next scenario!

This scenario ends in October, Year 3, which gives us a lot of in-game time to play with. I'll probably look to update every 4 to 6 in-game months. Also, suggestions for name themes are welcome.

So, what'll it be, Bay12? Our park has a lot of room to expand, and not much to put it in. We already have a pretty decent coaster, but it's not being put to good use are the park isn't seeing much traffic. We have some new attractions available, such as the log flume, but some of the ones from last time we can't use. Shall we capitalize on the minecart coaster to match our existing one? Or shall we build a log flume and try to create an oasis in the desert? The choice is yours, Bay12!

Log flume. You're in the desert. Guests will want to cool down.

Name it "Splashdown" and make the longest drop you can possibly make, going underground if needed.

You don't open your park immediately?
I say make an artificial oasis.  Expensive, but worth it.  Also, the roller coaster at the beginning of this scenario is one of my favourite designs in the entire game.

As many water-related rides as you can put down. Laugh at evaporation!

Also a miniature railroad that takes visitors from the entrance to the far side of the park. As slowly as possible.

Better yet, combine these two ideas and use a log flume as transportation.

I usually open my park ASAP and work on it as guests watch structures and trees sprout out of nowhere.

If we're making water rides, a neat scenic trick I do is around log flumes and water pits on wooden coasters and any other water ride, I replace the barren desert with little grass spots, and maybe palm trees here and there after a maybe a year since the ride's been active.

As for naming themes, let's go with Splash Mountain™ themes, or explosives themes.

I'd say add an on-ride photo to the coaster, and some gentle rides on the long path before the dune. Also, log flumes suck. The only way you can get them to be exciting is to intertwine it with a coaster or another ride, and even then the ride has such a long turnaround time that some gentle rides are more profitable. Log flume as transport ride? Guests will ragequit the queues (not sure if this actually happens).

For super extra bonus points, build another Mine Train coaster intersecting with the first in that huge pit.

I'd like to request a long long path. At the start is two soda stands. At the end is a single bathroom that costs $5 to use. Call the bathroom "Throne of king Fikes".

I did nostalgia hard, by the way. Seeing the Dynamite Dunes coaster and the building rides list.
